Cannot Progress to CHOOSE CHARACTERS when enabling cross saves

My bungie account has had my Xbox Live and Steam accounts (as well as PSN and Epic) linked for some time. I previously played Destiny 2 on Xbox Series X and have three characters, which I can see under my Xbox/Microsoft section of step 1 of the Cross Save enabling web page. I have no characters on any other platform and my Steam account box says something about there being no characters. However, even when both the Steam and the Microsoft boxes say "authenticated" I still cannot click ANYTHING on the page that lets me "choose a character" and the "Continue" button on the bottom of the web page is still grayed out. If I go to launch Destiny 2 on Steam (I havent launched it on Xbox in years) I am greeted with the screen to create a new character. I do not want to create a new Steam character, I want to play as one of my three Xbox characters. Is there a bug with the cross save enabling screen that I am not aware of? All of my accounts are linked and authenticated, yet I cannot use my Xbox characters or complete the cross save enablement webpage. Please help - it's kind of insane that there is not an official support ticketing system for issues like this. I just purchased Witch King and other content on Steam and I want to get back into Destiny 2 after years of being out, but I'm practically locked out of a pretty important feature. EDIT: I have uploaded an image to imugr of what I am seeing. I have also linked and unlinked my Xbox account several times and attempted to enable cross save from the Destiny Phone Companion App and from two different web browsers.

  • Thank you for sharing an image link, as it helps us to see what you’re seeing. In the image you have shared, your PSN account has not been authenticated. Every linked account must be authenticated, in order to proceed. If you do not wish to have one or more of your platform accounts involved in cross-save, then you would need to unlink the account(s) from your Bungie profile first. Unlinking is done in Account Settings, not in the cross-save activation pages. Make sure that you only involve platform accounts that you definitely want to be a part of the system, or it could cause potential frustration in future. Also, please note that these forums are not monitored by paid staff members 24/7. It is mainly volunteers, whether Mentors like myself, or other players, who try to answer posts as our time allows. Sometimes someone is around to help out in short order, other times it may take a few hours for the right individuals to find a post. Certain times of day see more people around, given time zones and such.
