Wait. Thats Illegal

If some of you will kindly remember back to 2018 with Fallout 76. There was a scandal involving a set of Xmas emotes I think they were. They were put on sale for $24 but marked down for $12. But the thing was, it was never $24. It was released marked half off. That’s deceptive. In many countries including in Australia the government got involved and filed legal action. Because the action is deceiving the consumer to think the product is worth more than what it is, and the mark down forces a sense of urgency. I’m not great at explaining, Internet Historian does it better in his “Fall of 76” video. The reason I preface this is because there are a few items in Eververse with the release of the new season, (released today) that are, in the same manner of the Xmas emotes, released, on sale. I don’t remember exactly what it was because I had to go to class in between writing this, I think it was an Armor set, but it was on sale for 1500S from 2000S. There was also another one marked down in the same manner. The point of this post is to be in sense a warning to consumers(you) of the deceptive tactics, and towards the producer(Bungo) that they should probably return it to the intended price (1500S) so that they could avoid possible legal action. This post was also written from memory about the scandal from Fallout 76, so is based on objective knowledge but written from memory so could be considered opinion. Thank you for reading. Edit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kjyeCdd-dl8&t=1423s Here is the video essay I reference in the text. And the link will bring you to the timestamp referenced as well. Link at the top is to an image of what I am referencing in game. Edit: changed "Thats illegal" to "Thats deceptive", it was a bit to aggressive and assuming. deceptive is more along the lines of what i was going for.

 • It’s only deceptive if the current price is not temporary. If the price changes to 2,000 Silver at some point, it will have indeed been on sale at it’s current price of 1,500. Unfortunately the item does not say when this sale period will end, so we can currently only speculate as to whether this qualifies as deceptive practices. (΄◉◞౪◟◉`)
