I'm actually a fan of the direction they're heading, but I don't love where it leaves us in D2 at the moment. I've always said that if Bungie did a D3, the best decision would be to get rid of isolated classes. Let a character just be 'a guardian', and then have all of the classes abilities available. If you wanna build as a hybrid Warlock/Hunter, cool, or if you wanna be a pure Titan then that's cool too. Having three isolated classes becomes a balancing nightmare in a game like this though. You could still have characters maintain therir identity through how they choose to build, but it wouldn't be defined on a character selection screen. Just my thought though.

  • I kinda like that, having 3 characters is kinda meh for all the reasons you mentioned!!! A single Guardian experience being able to shape and change your identity and playstyle sounds fun.

  • They should look at elder scrolls online and see how they keep classes balanced, at least look at other games that have multiple classes and thier way of balancing them.
