It looks and seems cool, but it feels.. out of nowhere, thematically at least. Suddenly there's just some green threads that connect everything, that exist everywhere? And they don't really resemble anything we've seen, nor exist as a Darkness version of existing subclasses? Dunno about that one. Feels like it's made to fit the bright, neon city aesthetic of the new destination, rather than exists on it's own.

Deepsight led to our discovery of it. I mean, when scientists discover the elements we know about now back then I'm sure they thought the same thing. Also, didn't Stasis come about the same way? I like that we're getting a power that the Witness didn't give us. This is Guardians making the Darkness their own, as Savathun actually foreshadowed, we are fighting for control over the power. -
Imo its somewhat similar ti the ascendant plane

I'd know a certain "Doctor" who'd like to have a word with the design team about this one..

Or because we are dealing with how a different group of beings work with The Darkness. Some group other than The Hive and the Witness.

That was kinda the point though. We're supposed to be the first ones to ever discover and use it, thats part of the story they're building

While there's nothing wrong with that, in this case, it feels like it's a bit too big of an in-universe discovery to just put it there without previous establishing. It's not like Stasis, where it's a simple power and an element of universe. Strand seems to instead be the fabric of the universe itself. Which suddenly brings a bit too many questions, and could lead to another Sundial situation, where a sudden reveal of a story changing thing, might cause a lot of drama. But we're yet to see exactly how it is discovered.

But string theory tho.
