Is it really necessary to add a respawn timer into a jumping puzzle??

3 RepliesEdited by Sarcastreaux: 8/22/2022 11:00:13 PMSome of you folks in the comments are really special. "Skill issue." "Just don't die." You make it sound like you're free from mistakes, and you're not. We have all slipped up on a jumping puzzle at some point or another. What if this individual has coordination impairments that prevent them from being as "skilled" as you on a jumping puzzle? You didn't think about that or care, because you're arrogant and have a huge ego. I'm a person who doesn't have issues with endgame content, and 45 seconds is too long for a respawn.

Can’t agree more. If you are not in combat, there should be no timer.

I call it the old “bungie time-out.” You’ve been a bad guardian now sit in the corner for 45 seconds and think about what you’ve done!!!

I'm pretty sure the respawn timers in Duality's jumping sections exist so you can wipe and respawn the enemies you need to kill to get the Hearthshadow catalyst, if you killed the enemies but didn't finish the rest of the mechanic in time.

That 40 second timer in all dungeons blows. Have an upvote!

None whatsoever beyond "We're Bungie and we think it should be like this". It is the most pointless BS in the game. Unless there are technical limitations, there's just no excuse beyond punishing the player arbitrarily.

1 ReplyI think the respawn timer is fair, but not at 40 seconds or more. Make it like 5 and call it a day.

I agree the timers are annoying..... But The jumping puzzle in duality is laughably easy so dying is easy to avoid.

1 ReplyUse that time to delete your numerous blues. But yeah, way to long.

Sounds like a you problem

How about after you complete the dungeon the first time, the 45 second timer drops to 15 or 20 seconds. Seems like overkill when you’ve ran it 20 plus times.
-
There is no excuse why dungeons and nightmare hunts have longer respawn timers especially solo. Was doing solo master nightmare hunts this season and a 25 second timer was a slap in the face

Skill issue

Eliplease check my stats, I need validation - old
Very easy solution, don’t die. -
Wait, you die from jumping puzzles?
-
Just don’t fall.

I guess Bungie wants people to sit there and think about their mistakes for slipping off a ledge😅😂. Joking…
