Ever since solar 3.0 I haven't been able to finish my catalyst for my Polaris Lance. I really enjoy this weapon but it's not letting me get my perfect fifth kills. And I haven't gotten them they just aren't procting or something. Please Bungie help!!

They finally did it. The perfect 5th kills requirements are gone. Yeah

This was a problem even before Solar 3.0 unfortunately.
-
pretty sure it was messed up even before witchqueen started. still haven't finished it either because it won't progress at all.
-
1 ReplyIt took me 6 months and about 6,000 kills. Stop being a baby.

I thought I just wasn’t doing something right. Been at 0/50 perfect fifth kills all season
-
Still haven’t gotten it done. Wasn’t working right in my opinion long before Solar 3.0.

3 RepliesTo repeat, it’s the burn damage that the perfect fifth explosion applies. You need to kill the target with the BURN, not the explosion. Bungie doesn’t make it clear in the game, but that’s how it’s been since year one.

It would help if you tried to do it at Shuro Chi and fire the 5th shot into a group of ads. Doing this catalyst anywhere else would be painful.
-
11 RepliesCatalyst is fine. You’re the problem. It’s the dot that has to get the kill, not the explosion to count as progress. There’s guides on YouTube on the best places to farm the catalyst kills quickly.

I found the Cosmodrone to be very helpful. When the hive and fallen go against each other.
-
Are you running a solar subclass. That might be why, maybe idk.
-
That’s another thing they’ve neglected, and that’s actual bullshit

4 RepliesSolar 3.0 didn’t have any effect on how Polaris works. The catalyst was always an issue because it actually has to be the burn damage from the perfect fifth explosion that kills the enemy.

13 RepliesThe enemy has to die from the burn from the 5th shot not the shot itself. Remove all solar 3.0 mods and when u doing the catalyst it will help. Go to shuri chi check point that will quicken things up
