So despite some late game issues it is a pretty neat hack and slash, dungeon crawling and town management sim game.
After reading your post and then looking at the trailer I do believe this will be worthy my time!
Oh actually this reminds me of a PS2 game called Dark Cloud (The town wasn't something you had to manage, just collect in the dungeon and build outside... Even people). Though my experience of that was on a trial disc where it would boot me off every time after an hour of playing.
Did you spend alot of time making it the perfect looking town as well?

The issues aren’t just late game. The dungeons don’t do much to help your town the entire time. The problem gets worse during the late game, though. Also I very explicitly said it’s not hack ‘n slash. :p But yes, the two halves of the game were very fun individually. I didn’t make my town look perfect, but I did make it look nice.

Ah. My mistakes are plenty and good enough will always be the enemy of perfect. I had a look on the interwebs and this game is supposedly going to be updated by the devs in an ongoing process. If only there was someway to get your feedback across! I am very much interested though.

To fix my problem with the game you’d kinda need to completely overhaul it. The town would need to be completely rebuilt to rely on the dungeons in some way, which is a bit more than something you could fix in a free update.

Fair. Fair. I wish I knew what to say.

I’m still debating whether I want to try that Harvestelia game that’s coming out. It’s another slashy-slashy/farming sim game. The combat looks very generic “anime hack ‘n slash” which makes me skeptical, but I really want another game like Sakuna.

- Looks at trailer - Square Enix - All seems normal. - Reads comments - Nothing but praise - "Great monster designs" comment - Re-watches trailer. Final Fantasy X farming sim with generic anime looking characters/Monsters/combat. Will all depend on its price. Though I am starting to think these games need a unique tag of their own.
