Stasis needs a lil buff

So bois Currently we have solar and void 3.0 not far off arc 3.0 which is amazing. I love watching this stuff get remade BUT stasis, it was released before everything then it was nerfed to Jesus himself. Problem here is 1) stasis is very lack lustre compared to the other supers with only one super ability per class unlike the other subclasses which have 3. 2) stasis was nerfed to death in pvp and it’s still good there but in the PvP nerfs it also effected PvE which SUCKS. So hear me out, we get a stasis 2.0 which just maybe adds 2 other super abilities per class cantered around the current ones no need to buff it just maybe mix it up a bit :) what are your thoughts?

  • Little tweaks here and there, but remember how people were complaining about shatterdive 1-hit-ko but then be ok with light 3.0 doin the same. Titans are literally getting a 1-hit-ko next season

  • I main Revenant Hunter, and I think it's already fairly competitive in high-end PVP No buffs or changes needed

    • Well the light subclasses only have 2 supers each, not 3, but adding a super for each stasis subclass would be appreciated. I think stasis can be strong in both pvp and pve, although I will say some pieces of the kits may have been hit too hard in pve for pvp reasons. All this being said, I think they should take another quick look at stasis, maybe buffing certain aspects (and fragments) that need it, but I don’t really think it’s worth he investment to create a new stasis super for each of the classes, at least at this point. I would rather them work on a new darkness element, since the next expansion would seem like a good place to put that. But what do I know? They could absolutely make 3 new stasis supers for us and I wouldn’t complain.

    • Haha I just wrote a breakdown stating the same think on forums without realizing you posted. As a titan main I really just feel like stasis is almost never the most effective answer to a problem the game is trying to throw at me. I'm always using it because I enjoy it, not because I think I'm actually being more effective or efficient at a tasks which feels kinda bad.

    • Shadebinder and Revenant are both in good spots. Some new toys would be fun and spice up the trees a little, but I wouldn’t say they’re weak by any stretch. Behemoth needs some help though. Crystals are strong, but the super is inconsistent and basically useless outside of 1 meme strat.

      • Shadebinder is phenomenal in endgame PvE. Revenant is incredibly powerful in PvP. The only subclass that's outright bad is behemoth. I'm personally indifferent because I'm an Arc main, but yeah I can't deny that behemoth is overdue for a buff. They nerfed that hard way too hard.

          I feel like Stasis as a whole kinda needs a rework. Stasis Warlock is always borderline meta, but the other two need some help. Funny enough, I think the best fix would be to tune the abilities of each class individually, but then, it would sort of go out of it's way to counter the purpose of the fragment system.. (which, by virtue of giving all classes access to the same perks, creates some of the problem). Looking at Arc 3.0 though-- So far, this is by far the best step in the right direction yet, and I think it'll actually end up showing up the other elements sufficiently enough that Bungie'll be forced to realize it's too good for the current context of the game. I just hope that instead of nerfing it, they bring the other elements up, and experiment with balancing each class uniquely, leaning less on fragments, and instead expanding the aspect system.

              Just a guess, could be wrong, but it probably will go to 3.0 in season 19. They did Solar for the summer season I'm guessing Stasis for the winter season. Granted that doesn't work the same if you live south of the equator but it does when the Last City is supposed to be in the northern hemisphere. Anyway, I'm getting sidetracked. Now, this gets weird when you consider Arc and Void. I felt like they should have been opposite of what they are. Void was redone in spring and Arc in fall. Spring can be associated with storms and Arc would have fit that and Void is dark purple and mysterious...you know, kind of Haloweenish. Anyway, just a guess.

                • Just need a 2nd Stasis super. The buff will come with these. It just feel bad to have only one stasis option per character. Bungie themselves seems to agree with that considering they made a new super for hunter coming arc 3.0.

                • I don't think it necessarily needs a buff but i would like to have a different hunter super for stasis. Being locked mid air is just a free kill . Sometimes the storm thing just gets locked in place on certain maps in pvp . Its still really strong it has high utility and a straight counter for arc 3.0 . Cant go fast when your slowed or frozen lol

                • I don't think Stasis needs anything new, but I think some of the initial nerfs needs to be relaxed, especially with Warlock. Also:[b] they need to move the stasis weapons to the energy slot, and not the primary slot[/b]. I know they did it because they didn't want the energy slot to be too crowded & confusing, but that's a poor excuse. Needs fixing.

                    Give each class a different Stasis super: Titans: Extinct Subzero -Titan transforms into a ball of ice. Rolling thru enemies freezes them & does SHATTER damage. Hunters: Frozen Road -Hunters use their bow to throw a volley of frozen crystals that cause SHATTER damage on impact. Warlocks: Crystaline Wake - Warlocks create a frozen area around them that freezes all nearby enemies, increases ally damage, decreases damage being taken & gives the user Stasis damage to their kinetic weapons that cause SHATTER damage.

                        • Yes bring back freeze to glacial grenade and give hunter an exotic that triples the amount of stasis crystals produced by the grenade.

                          • Titan needs a super change or rework. The melee needs some more tracking. Un-nerf the extended slide aspect. Warlock needs to have its super combined into one attack versus one. Allow the freeze to just simply self detonate. The melee needs an animation speed and range increase or a change to a normal melee with a freeze touch and explosive affect. The Hunter is good but I wish the first shuriken would throw one of the grenades instead of an immediate freezing shuriken.

                            • Unfortunately, pvp ruined stasis in pve. Especially for hunter. You can use it, you can "force" a build that is somewhat viable, but it is but a shadow of what it once was. There will be no buffs I'm afraid, as long as pvp exists, so never. Just another fun thing pvp has ruined for us. At least 50% of nerfs all around are cause of pvp.

                                Stormcaller 3.0 is not good; needs buff - old

                                I want 3 buffs to stasis, 2 specifically on Warlock 1. a different melee on shade binder. Now the current one is absolute dog in both PvE and PvP: a very slow, limited ranged projectile that has to directly impact the opponent to freeze them for only 1-1.5 seconds…yeah no thanks. 2. During the super there’s a method to shoot only two freezing projectiles rather than 4 by timing the attack and shatter button at a certain time (very annoying to proc) this leads to you using less super energy because you’re not wasting it on projectiles that aren’t needed since you only need 1 to freeze enemies. I want it to be default that it only shoots 2 projectiles per input, and if you want to shoot more just hold down the attack button. The 3rd one is shatter’s damage should be increased on bosses and champions, while on red bars and orange bars shatter should slow or freeze nearby enemies that aren’t killed from shatter. That way I wouldn’t have to rely on the Aspect frostflare bolts on Warlock, and Hunter/Titans have a way to chain freeze enemies in their neutral game.
