Please stop requiring us to waste our time completing campaigns on all three characters to be able to do activities. I've already done it once. It should be unlocked on my account. I know it's possible for you to do this stuff because some things that works for and other things that doesn't

3 RepliesI’m more upset that the DLC we bought For Xbox doesn’t carry over to PC with the cross play.

Totally agree.

For real!!
-
As long as it was optional then I would be okay with being allowed to skip stuff on alternative characters.
-
💯 % Agree! 🍺

Make it optional. *mind blown* In an alternate timeline this would be the case. Such is the curse of playing destiny on earth-616.
-
It should definitely be optional.
-
Always hated it it should be optional!

Was trying to play Wellspring on my alt characters "reQuiReS mOrE cAmpAigN pRogrEss" get out of here with that trash

4 RepliesIf the campaigns were unique to each class, it would be different, but they're the same regardless of your class. It's silly to have to repeat content.

GoonsTundraDOOM music kicks in - old
Honestly if it were the system that we had before WQ where you could only do the campaign once and be done it would work a lot better, but now it’s just a slog of boredom -
3 RepliesSUPER EXCESSIVE BUMP. Yet another tactic to artificially inflate time spent in game. Makes absolutely 0 sense. This is why I've been playing one character since I came back for witch queen after taking a long break after shadowkeep.

Edited by gabezilla101: 8/23/2022 12:12:56 AMI think they need to evaluate how much time, effort and resources it takes to keep 3 characters up to date and find a better method. Removing leveling would be a good start as well as not making players have to achieve every sub class on each character. Playing through a DLC isn’t any where as bad as the other things I listed.

Yes and no. As with many of the story quests, you get an exotic choice at the end. Some simply give only one. If we take Witch Queen, you have 2 options to choose from. So being someone who beat the Legendary Campaign 3 times here are my quick thoughts. Once you beat the entire Campaign with 1 Character, he whole thing should be opened up to the other 2. Now I say opened up, NOT COMPLETED. So your 2nd character can then choose to do any of the missions at anytime ( they are all there to be selected as how the WQ missions are) and you then choose the Difficulty. That way your not forced to do them in order and can play as you wish for your other characters.

Please stop requiring us to waste our time completing campaigns on all three characters to be able to do activities.
I understand how this can be annoying/boring, but what I don't understand is why some players think Bungie will change certain things. Their goal is to keep you playing like any other developers it's just From what I've seen, Bungie has gone one of the worst ways about it. It's like how they refuse to allow players to have more options when it comes to customizations like being able to change something as simple as how the face of a Guardian looks. They rather players delete their characters and start over so they spend more time playing. That is how Bungie works, and this is how it will always be unless someone gets a wild hair and decides to do something about it. Now, with other things like designing content, if there was more replayable content keeping players engaged in whatever content payers would have a better experience. Having players constantly reset every season just to re-enter the activities, etc... is another pure waste of time because Bungie refuses to put some real effort into this game.

Normally I side with the players in these topics, but not this time. You don't HAVE to run 3 characters, that is a choice. If you CHOOSE to run 3 characters, this is the price of admission. Just pick one or two, it's better that way anyway. You'll have---wait for it--more time to do other things.
-
It depends for me. I’m perfectly fine going through the Witch Queen 3 times for a choice between 2 exotic armor pieces, but I have to go through Beyond Light 3 times because it’s the only way to access a quarter of my guardians abilities sucks
-
I still dont have behemoth unlocked.
-
I do one character. Forget that. That got old a long time ago. How else would the playtime be inflated?
-
I didnt think it was terrible for Witch Queen. I took my main through on legend to get the gear and focused on him for an entire week. The following was ran through with gear dropping already higher than legend. It was WAY worse in beyond light and shadowkeep. But i get the sentiment, and hopefully it can change in the future.

The 2nd and 3rd runs combined take about as much time as the first run since you know what's going on. And you need to level up those characters also so just get it done and you're finished for the year.

4 RepliesHere we go with this again lol. The hilariously ironic complaining about having to do the same thing(campaign) multiple times, just for quicker access to do the same things(everything else in the game) over and over multiple times. Which yall complain about as well lol. Anyway, doing the campaign multiple times is optional. You get access to somethings without doing it. If you want access to everything, use the key aka the campaign. It gives you complete access because each character is treated as a separate entity. Which is how the majority of games with multiple characters works. It's not an issue at all. If you have time to maintain multiple characters, you have time to do the campaign multiple times.
