Since release of solar 3.0 warlocks been torn between identities. Since bottom tree was unnecessarily destroyed and middle tree just punched to death I don't really see much of a reason to play solar warlock anymore. I mean sure ignitions are nice in pve, and aerial combat can be good in pvp, but that is all. It's not fun anymore when the main option you have isn't really that fun. ignitions are great don't get me wrong but, thats it, that's the only strong point about warlock in solar 3.0.

Not to be a titan or hunter hater but both of the other classes can do all that but better. Who needs well when you have loreley and are immortal. Who needs well or healing when you can blow up everything around you to Timbuktu. Warlock has gotten the very short end of the stick as the it's stuck with only one good aspect and that touch of flame in pve, and it's other two being separate even though there both only pvp. it takes an exotic armor piece, exotic weapon like monte that perfectly slots in, and bunches of mods to make solar do what void and stasis do 10x better and to make it even fun like stormcaller. If Bungie keeps the class this way they are never going to hear the end of it as solar warlock after this season will drop to the bowels of h**l in usage rate. This is not to mention half of our fragments revolve around one mechanic and have the same problem as our aspects. Literally one that says increased ignition explosion size and ignitions cause scorch, like wtf? Why would those be separate fragments and not one. This seem very tuned to how the other classes can access these features easier and have more completeness.

This is excluding the fact that benevolent dawn is for all classes and is in a horrible state. Bungie you messed up big time by not listening to your community. You have shagged 2/3 of the solar warlock fan base by killing the things they loved most, constant explosions and healing, not even including Phoenix dives unnecessary nerf.
In my crucible matches and pve I am seeing more solar titans and hunters then warlocks 90% of the time. You now why? They have seen warlock is just a hand me down compared to the other classes solar abilities. They quit there warlock and went to other classes so they could have actual fun with they're new toy, the little bit more fun they could have as the main problem with solar 3.0 is half of it's fragments are focused on one certain mechanic of the class. I've played solar hunter a little this season and have experimented with warlock solar builds and it's still sad how bad warlock is compared to the others.

1 ReplyEdited by Wannabe Slav: 8/18/2022 10:25:30 AMTbh I was and have been a Hunter main since d1, but I did enjoy playing Warlock as well in d1. In d2 I put off warlock for awhile until I finally gave them a try in Season of the Splicer because I got bored. I loved solarlock so much that I almost dropped my hunter for it. Almost. Solar 3.0 came out and I really hated it. I was a bottom tree dawnblade and they completely destroyed it. I'm back to hunter very happy with golden gun changes. It's hard to say that I completely understand your predicament, but arc actually sounds good on all classes despite warlocks loosing an ability that'll be used by everyone and not just yourself. I do hope they fix it soon, but unfortunately that probably won't happen. So let's just hope solarlocks get some good aspects and fragments in the future
