Such wonderful examples of community spirit, teamwork and helping out your fellow guardians! -It's called Guided Games -Sometimes its a pleasure to teach raids but we dont always feel like it -If only you could start your own LFG posts Really?! Yall crack me up, *clears my throat* this is how it sounds "I wouldn't *$%& on you if you were on fire noob!" This isn't about you and your vast level of knowledge when it comes to Destiny and everyone else is but a scrub when it comes you and yours, this is about folks -blam!- want to raid and learn. Watching a Youtube guide pretty much does Jack and S..... Wanna know why? allow me to repeat something that I know every single person has heard, "I watched the YT on this raid but honestly I was so lost, hope that isn't an issue but I think it get it (nope they didn't get it)" and etc. and so on, in a million different ways. There is only one true way of learning a raid or any high level activity, boots on deck...If you have a very close nit of friends or fireteam that you can group with at all times, you are indeed extremely lucky. How about we look past the usual comments and lend a hand? You will always have to teach, and just remember Teamwork makes the Dreamwork!

  • Watching the YouTube is to give a basic understanding. Myself and many others find this to be pretty easy and while I can’t say I run without any issues after watching a vid, I can usually get it done decently well in a “learning” lfg. Most people who put KWTD are looking for a fast run-through. Teaching is great, but many times it causes a significant increase in time. For those with tight or busy schedules, this can be a huge thorn in your side. Making your own “trying to learn” post is a great way of avoiding all this. Do that once or twice, try to learn all the parts, and then join in a regular lfg. There are as many helpful Sherpas in the game as there are elitists

  • I mean, making your own lfg post is a rational solution to OP's problem. A lot of people assume that having "KWTD" in a post means "I want to be carried". Most of the time people just want to get something done quickly. If you make a post that says "I'm new to this, I need someone to teach me", you're sure to find people willing to help. The sherpas were once beginners too, and they know what being a noob is like.
