I was playing trials and received a friend request from someone on the opposing team. Accepted, was then accused of cheating was told to kill myself.
Edit:
I only posted this in hopes someone would notice and something would be done about these kinds of comments. I understand that most likely won’t happen, I didn’t know where else to place this seeing as I don’t have a way to direct report to bungie. I know it’s just a salty man being salty. But not everyone would take a comment that way, some people truly struggle in those areas and that kind of comment would take a different kind of toll. I’m more posting in hopes that it would discourage others from using similar comments in fear of being reported. But I can see that isn’t going to work.

2 RepliesEdited by Spawn: 8/8/2022 12:40:29 PMYou will want to report that through the messaging service of where it was received. Based on your posts, it sounds like PSN. They have additional guidance here on this.
received a friend request from someone on the opposing team. Accepted,
For future reference, I have no idea why you would just accept a random friend request, but to each their own I guess.

2 RepliesIt's kind of sad this is where we are, where people take things so seriously they feel the need to try to make a big deal out of video game smack, or even have a function for reporting it.
-
5 RepliesSounds like the D2 community in a nutshell, also, welcome if youre new and just fyi, the forums are just as toxic so you'll recieve no solace or any useful advice on the matter. Just be proud you were the better player and be grateful you dont belong to the toxic part of the community.

Edited by ThyNarc: 8/11/2022 1:57:40 AMIts usually a instant ban on psn after the kid who was harassed. Edit:report his account and send a link of the messages to sony

1 ReplyYou could always invite them to your clan.

1 ReplyEdited by Xero: 8/8/2022 10:10:43 AMI took a look at the link and noticed the user's name in there. Also noticed there wasn't much forum history on your profile, so I'm guessing you're a newcomer here. If so: 1) Welcome and 2) You'll want to remove that link from the post. Reason being is that on these forums, there is a rule against posting another person's info (username included). The best thing that can be done is to use the in-game report function at the very least, so something is submitted. You'll hear differing opinions as you see in the replies, but for reference, this is something to look over. Check under the "text chat" category. Best you can do at the moment. A Mod (Ninja) will end up adjusting this for you, but I suggest you do that, and again, remove the link. A user on here (if they wanted to cause trouble) can just report your post for "Name and Shame/Privacy violation" and that can get you in trouble on the forums. Just a heads up, but like most folks here are saying. Block, report, and move along. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

4 RepliesEdited by Haters: 8/8/2022 2:31:22 AMMommy. Mommy. They were mean on the internet.
pathetic. Why don’t you do something about it instead of this obvious pity party in the forums.
2 RepliesWelcome to the internet

4 RepliesNormal destiny behavior.

2 RepliesDid you save a video clip of the event? Take it as a complement you're so good that they can't comprehend being that good, so they think you're a cheater.

Between random friend requests from strangers and the "Rate my -blam!" spam (which get this, don't even show the -blam! I'm supposed to rate...) I get on PSN, I just turned off both friend requests and messages from anyone not a friend of a friend.
-
I get them all the time but me being an adult just laughs and goes on about my day
-
Your first mistake was accepting the request...
-
1 ReplyDid you report them on your system?

3 RepliesReport him to both Bungie and Sony. Bungie can suspend or ban his account from the game. Sony can suspend or ban his account from the platform. Including his privileges to message. I have no experience with Bungie, but Sony has ZERO TOLERANCE where that sort of thing is concerned. Over the years I've had a few people try to follow me from this forum over to PSN and harrass and troll me over there. Sony put a stop to that **quickly**. Plus they will follow up and let you know if they had to take action against someone you reported.
-
5 RepliesWere you actually cheating?
-
You're on playstation, yes? If a person DMed you such messaged then simply report to Sony on PSN.
-
If the DMed you on bungie you can report their account page and bungie will follow up at somepoint. If its PSN or Microsoft then report the chat log to them and they will act on it.
-
Edited by olderfella: 8/8/2022 12:03:27 PMIf this happened on Playstation, then report it to Sony. Sony will ban their PS account. Bungie on the other hand has never done anything for me when I have reported.

Never ever accept a friend request from a person you don’t know. If you can’t handle the toxicity, pls turn off chat. That’s what I do in Overwatch. Don’t let it get you down bro, it’s just a game. What other people thinks don’t matter.
-
1 ReplyDo it....in minecraft
-
2 RepliesThat is completely unacceptable. Report him to Sony. Such messages will warrant a ban Enemy friend requests have to be taken with caution. They are mostly of malicious intent. Especially if you have messages on privat

1 ReplyPvp is toxic I'll say it again toxic pvp is a trashcan. Dumpster fire that needs a fireman to drown it in water and dowst those toxic flames from all the pvp flamers that flame they're bully mana man tality acting like they special boy you cheating and you ain't special just another script kiddie who can't handle not being special on a videogame. Ego maniacs who love to harass players in an online game. or as I call pvp BULLY SIMULATOR. yeah let's hook up our third party cheats and make fun of people who cannot compete with our aimbots hacks. Most toxic thing I've ever witnessed in ma LYFE. Lol 😆😆😆😆😆

2 RepliesWhile I do feel for you genuinely, I have to tell you, you might not have survived let alone coped well back in the wild west days of early matchmaking in Halo 2 & 3. In pre-match and post game lobbies people would rip your soul into shreds. You either had thick skin or didn't play social non competitive playlists. Tbh it was really fun and hilarious. Peeps don't have thick skin like they used to. But I also think not everyone is looking for that mean tough sarcasm.
-
Think of it as a compliment if people think you are aim botting.
-
Just block them and know that you owned that person. That’s what I do and it’s enough of a win for me.
