Sounds like most of the Kickstarter projects I've backed in the past 24 months.

 • With Kickstarter, the project isn’t usually done in advance at least, so when it takes a year it feels like they’re still just working on it. For this statue it was purely shipping issues. >.<

Shipping, before the massive price increases from what I have to believe are fuel costs, took somewhere around 10 months. And I'm still waiting on part of it. With a very few exceptions, my KS backings are now limited to virtual goods, mainly PDFs & STLs. EDIT: I shiuodntbreally complain though, the re-release of HeroQuest and the new game Oathsworn are still in the boxes UPS delivered them in, tape still uncut.

 • I haven’t actually ordered anything online in quite a while. It didn’t occur to me that shipping costs had gone up, though it makes sense. Ugh, what a pain. About how much has it gone up by, on average?

 • I don't have any idea, but I know that the Darkest Dungeon boardgame isn't shipping unless backers add more funds. Shadowborne, the publishers of Oathsworn, asked backers to put in more money to help cover shipping, but didn't require them to do so. I think I kicked in an additional $50 or 100 because they were extremely communicative through the entire project, figured I could help offset their costs and maybe cover for a backer or two that couldn't or wouldn't chip in extra. Besides, what else am I going to spend my money on? Shadowborne covered a good bit of the increased prices on their own, I think I remember seeing the figure $100,000 in the additional shipping cost update. Guess I should open the box, eh? • Dang. That article said shipping costs had gone up by 600%, which is kinda crazy. Also, I had no idea there was a Darkest Dungeon biard game. That sounds pretty nifty!
