Attention all you Titanfall 2 nerds (and everyone else, too)

Good evening everybody! This is Aifos coming to you alive from the Glass Ocean, with a very important announcement! I know at least a while ago, this forum was jam-packed full of more Titanfall 2 fanboys than you could count, and if y’all are still here, then I have the perfect game for you! That’s right, I’m here to recommend you Neon White! Neon White is a high speed FPS platforming speedrun game, set in none other than Heaven. Your job as the titular Neon White is to exterminate the invading demons and restore peace to paradise! The gameplay revolves around magical objects called Soul Cards, which act as your weapons. You start each level with only White’s default sword card, and pick up other cards along the way. The cards mostly fill the role of a regular gun—Elevate is a pistol, Purification is an assault rifle, Godspeed a semi-auto, etc.—but with a twist. At any point you can discard your current card to perform an ability. Elevate, the pistol, is also a double jump, while Purification is not only an assalt rifle, but also a grenade (and yes, there are grenade jumps!). With these Soul Cards at your disposal, you must race to the goal, while taking out every demon along the way! Knowing when to use your cards as guns, and when to discard them for abilities is crucial to making it through alive! But getting through alive isn’t enough—this game is about going fast, and at the end of each mission you’re given a medal based on your speed; the faster you go, the higher your rank. Every time you get a Gold or higher, your Neon Rank goes up, starting at 98, and ending at 1. If that part scares you, though, you only need a Neon Rank of 60ish to beat the game, meaning you only need 1/3rd or so of the Gold Medals. Now, unfortunately, the story is pretty awful. Almost all of the characters are unbearably annoying, most of the plot twists are painfully predictable, and if you’re super religious, well God’s angels are all adorable cartoon cats, and one of them is a heavy smoker, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s offensive. If you can look past its story, though, the game is incredibly fun, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone who likes fast past platformers, and doubly to people who enjoy Titanfall 2*, if any of you are still here! Tl;dr? Here’s my point! You should play Neon White. Lots of fun. But that’s all for now, folks! Jambuhbye!
*Disclaimer, this recommendation is more specifically aimed at those who enjoyed Titanfall 2’s campaign, with all the platforming and junk. There’s only one moment in the game where I’d say there’s anything resembling a firefight, so if what you enjoyed about Titanfall was the gunfights, then maybe not. Though, there is a lot of shooting down baddies as you’re zooming by if that counts for anything!
• I don't think an edgy looking single player speed run parkour game compares well to a PVP shooter with giant robots and also parkour. It's kinda like saying someone would enjoy Mass Effect because they like Halo. Sure they're both space games with guns and an ANCIENT EVIL INHUMAN GALACTIC THREAT TO ALL LIFE but like ones a 3rd person rpg and the others a 1st person pvp shooter. Also Flood is cooler than Reapers because Gravemind recited poetry while the Reapers were just jerks about the whole thing. I'm so -blam!- bored.
