If you receive any spam messages from a contact you don’t know make sure you hit that report button to get the user account shut down and Bungie to look into. You can also block the user from sending you any further messages by clicking block user. Hope you found this useful, upvote this message to help and warn others (^) and let’s put a STOP it.

  • These people that run those paid carry sites that make those spambot sock accounts exploit a flaw in Steam that lets them mass create accounts to tie to bungie accounts (bungie clearly doesn't even ask you to first activate your account before you're allowed to play the game long enough to be then allowed to post).. they also clearly have some kind of unauthorized access to the destiny api or bungie servers or whatever that lets them see when someone joins another users lfg post fireteam or when they post one, bungie doesn't seem to take security seriously if they aren't going to deal with this when it's extremely easy to fix - Disallow steam accounts from getting tied to bungie accounts (temporary until fixed) - Have ANY new bungie account require activation by email (so these people can't just create accounts using bot scripts) - INCREASE the requirements for new accounts to complete before being allowed to post in forum or lfg (like require base missions be done, get to tower, have to unlock a couple of hand picked triumphs by bungie, like a gauntlet run in sorts, something bot accounts can't complete and requires actual user input.. well anyone that's really wanting to play D2. This will deter these paid carry losers from even bother continuing to run such a illegal business if bungie ups the requirements)
