Hello guardians/Bungie team,
After the launch of the new expansion of Witch Queen I have had (and still have) certain issues with the companion app. The most important one is the fact that I'm NOT able to make any fireteam posts whatsoever.
I get the error pop up that says: Fireteam creation requires a Destiny 2 expansion purchase.
Okay I get it. Bungie also mentioned that they would make the companion app be a bit more of "content updated" than before, but the weird part is that I DO HAVE the expansion. Not only the regular pack. I bought WQ: Deluxe edition.
And of course I have proof of that since I have access to literally ALL new activities, quests, emblems, ghosts, exotic weapons etc. I even have the ghost from the Deluxe Pack (then one you get when you pre order; you get it before the launch of the new DLC).
A couple of things I tried:
- Updating the app
- signing out and signing in again
- deleting the app and reinstalling it COMPLETELY
- I tried making ALL types of fireteams (trying different categories, platforms, amount of people I'm looking for etc)
- Logged in the companion app, in another device
Nothing of the above works.
Even though I have a clan and amazing clanmates, I'm not always online whenever they are. Which means I use the companion app A LOT. With this issue I can't make fireteams on my own which is frustrating (since the "error" that creates the issue, doesn't exist; aka I HAVE THE DLC). I want to be able (again) to make fireteams. I don't want to be depended and hope for someone else to create a fireteam in my interest (of course this is a temporal solution, but since I paid to have WQ I believe that I have the right to be able to use the compaion app to the fullest just like everybody else).
Does anyone else have this similar issue (having the DLC but cannot make fireteams)? Does anyone have any tips or other ways I could contact Bungie?
Any help will be appreciated!!

1 ReplyHi there, Not sure if this is currently on Bungie’s official list of known issues, or whether or not they are investigating, but it appears several other players are experiencing similar issues.
