Game Crashes when Picking up Bounties/Starting Missions
Hey so I wanted to see if anyone else had this issue and/or a possible solution. I decided to start playing on my very old PC.
It has an AMD Radeon R9 270 graphics card, AMD FX-8350 4ghz 8 core CPU, and 8 gb of RAM.
I can load in, go to planets and run around/kill things to my hearts content with absolutely no issue. But if I go up to pick up bounties from someone or anything that brings up a menu with a character it crashes with Error Code Broccoli.
I know that means usually an issue with the GPU. But as far as I can tell this GPU should be able to run the game. I have it set to low on all graphics choices. I don't have the computer overclocked. (At least I don't think so. I bought it off a friend and he cleared it to factory settings when giving it to me).
I don't really know anything about computers on the hardware side. The internet said something about underclocking it so the GPU will stop "overheating and crashing" but I don't really know if that's the issue? I will say the computer is very loud but it was also built in 2013.
I don't really game on it at all outside of some simulators so I wasn't sure it could even run Destiny 2. If it can't, that's not the end of the world for me as I primarily play on xbox one but I was hoping maybe I could solve this so I could play with some of my PC friends? Any suggestions or ideas about why this occurs? I would think if it couldn't support the graphics, why does all the rest of the game work and look fine without any issues.
