Agree this new freelance game mode can salvage trials and perhaps destiny altogether. People like playing solo, not the LFG cancer. Going up against 3 stacks of 2.0 KDs that are either farming or cheating or on an account that is paying to get a flawless has ruined this game mode. More players will play if there is a freelance option. The flawless pool is pretty terrible though 😂, maybe they can limit that to Monday only.. basically makes people stop playing once flawless achieved. I think it’s unnecessary in freelance.

It won't save trials. By taking the solos out of the queue it will reduce the chance for semi skilled stacks to get to their 7 wins eventually leaving the stack queue to those who dominated it before the changes were implemented. All solos will farm trials engrams in the solo queue but eventually leave fed up with the monotony of almost never not being able to secure 7 wins.

Edited by Forsz: 1/4/2022 5:50:19 PMNot sure if you got to play it, but every player getting to 7 wins is not a bad thing, it will keep players coming back and giving life to the overall player base, because they know they can achieve it, which is how it should be with time and effort - and it’s a super fun game mode, very balanced (as well as destiny can do it do these days, with a limited player pool). The reason players have been so turned off to destiny is they have catered to the pay for carry community, making it an almost impossible format to have fun in. It’s way too cheat focused, cause if you aren’t running stacked with a team you might as well not play. It just makes most players stop playing, even though they would like to participate. This freelance mode has brought back new life into the game, everyone can play - you don’t need to go and deal with the cancer of lfg, and all the toxic crap. Just go and play and have fun. At least until you get flawless and get thrown into the flawless pool, which is basically just like going back into regular trials. This is the only flaw imo, because players will instantly stop playing once flawless. It’s just no fun to get forced into that bracket, every match is cancer. Which is why trials and destiny was dying in the first place, it’s been too focused on “use every cheat possible to win”, team shot with 2.0 KDs only that run together every week, etc.

I'm an average player and I soloed to 7 wins. The good players in my clan have also soloed, often with starting card and with mercy intact. Some reported having much more fun as well - more random- both good and bad. I agree with that: triple chaperone revenants every game gets old. The real opposition to solo queue is of course the teams who are denied easy wins against 3 solos.

You got lucky. Maths says otherwise. All it takes is a potato on your team.

Yes but depends - when playing with my son and a third 'getting lucky' involves avoiding 3 platinum elos. We will always, always lose those. Avoid top teams and we have a decent chance, particularly if the third is decent. Still luck isn't it?
