Getting 1 super per crucible game on average is pretty meh, Bungie.
I get it for game modes like Trials, but in casual pvp and IB 1 super per game (when you are lucky enough to get it full before the game mode is won/over) is not very "Destiny-like" from my PoV.
3 supers is too much, considering the before state. But 2 should be minimum now in casual pvp, not just during overtime rounds or long lasting matches. At least for higher tier ones.
Edit: And I, as a Titan player, should not feel like I am being punished for playing Tier 1 supers. The entire thing looked great on paper, but it is psychological player horror in reality.
To bring forth another argument against the change, but in PvE... Since the update went live I only play Thundercrash with Falling Star Cuirasse. Not any other super. Why? Because I feel punished for playing what I want to play. Fists of Havoc got nerfed in strength and duration. Sentinel will be removed from Bubble skill tree with WQ. Hammer of Sol is just Hammer of Sol and sucks from Tier 1 recharge rate. Glacial Quake as Titan got basically -blam!- with the crystal change, like almost all Stasis abilities.
To list up the tiers... (tier list numbers updated)
Tier 1 (lowest regen):
Titan: 5 supers (top/bottom Striker/Sunbreaker, Stasis)
Hunter: 1 super (Spectral Blades)
Warlock: 1 super (Stasis)
Tier 2:
Titan: 2/3 supers (Sentinel - full tree, only mid/bottom once WQ with Void 3.0)
Hunter: 2 supers (Golden Gun top/bottom)
Warlock: 5 supers (Chaos reach / Stormcaller, Nova Warp, Dawnblade top/bottom)
Tier 3:
Titan: 2 supers (Thundercrash, Burning Maul)
Hunter: 5 supers (Shadowshot types, Arcstrider - full tree)
Warlock: 2 supers (Nova Bomb top/bottom)
Tier 4:
Titan: 0 supers
Hunter: 2 supers (Silence and Squall - Stasis, Blade Barrage - Gunslinger)
Warlock: 0 supers
Tier 5: (fastest regen)
Titan: (1 Super) (Bubble, coming with Void 3.0 at WQ Release)
Hunter: 0 supers
Warlock: 1 super (Well of Radiance)
TL;dR: If you play Titan you have a horrible time in PvP when you play anything other than Thundercrash/Burning Maul. In PvE you also suffer from slower charge time.

1 ReplySucks for pve too 😕

34 RepliesTo be honest, I think Bungie is just lost right now as to how to create a PVP experience that is relevant in 2021. The market has changed. Gamers have changed....but Bungie really hasn't. So they keep making the same mistakes over and over again. I was afraid this was going to happen, because In "resetting the baseline" (quote from an interview with two of the current sandbox devs), what they've done is that they've rolled back about 50% of the changes that needed to be made to the game, to rescue it from the team shot meta that nearly destroyed the game 4 years ago. They slowed us down. Penalized our movement...and put our supers and abilities back on longer cooldowns. The only thing that is keeping me from saying that this has been a major mistake, is that I'm hoping they have things up their sleeve to improve this situation coming for Witch Queen. But, right now, this situation has bleed over into PVE...and the game doesn't feel good right now. Especially when you get outside of the new activity...and start to really feel how much they've kneecapped the space-magic part of the game. Again.

2 RepliesI think the cool down for most supers is a bit too long TBH

9 RepliesEdited by Zoidberg: 12/13/2021 10:23:31 PMBungie: Sorry, we want our shooter to be like every other one. Also, a streamer thought it was to OP. So, instead of creating a gun only mode. We nerfed everyone. Happy holidays. Enjoy your space guns!!! WE OUT!

3 RepliesIf I wanted pvp, but gunplay only I'd play halo because ur not supposed to be a space wizard with space magic in that game. When I play d2 pvp I want to have those abilities and supers and use them to my advantage as much as I can not be nerfed because people feel they are op. Now I will just play halo for pvp because it overall feels better and everyone in on an even playing field gun fight wise. Now if u go into pvp in d2 u have an extreme advantage on one class while the other 2 get nothing going into gun fights. Destiny for pve and halo for pvp now until something changes.

As you can see by the lovely little chart you made us, hunters have the most higher tier supers. Coincidence? I think not!

SpadeSupremeMake today, better than yesterday - old
A 30-second reduction time to all Super timers would make things much better! -
4 RepliesRumble matches are supposed to be 8 minutes. But anyone who plays a lot of Rumble knows they are over in 5 minutes or less due to terrible lobby balancing. I've stopped playing Rumble because the chances of getting a super before the match is over are pretty low. Pretty much one person per match gets a super now. And no I'm not crutching energy weapons. Yes I'm using my primary a lot. Yes I'm actively seeking engagements with enemy players and never staying in the same area for too long... What was previously a good game mode is now quite sh**. No space magic in Rumble is dumb.

4 RepliesCalling bottom and top striker different isn’t really the brightest idea

I really like the change, I definitely notice it and it's a great change to crucible, it forces more strategic play.
-
14 RepliesThe problem I have is that of course that bullshit bled into pve. I have to wait 2 mins for my grenade and just as long for my melee only for it to tickle orange bar enemies when I finally do have it. Like fuk pvp and the bullshit implications it has on pve and the bullet sponges we have to deal with.
-
2 Replieswait you wanted to use something that wasn't a gun in PvP?

Bruce Wizard*Whispers* "Hail HYDRA..." - old
In crucible I ran with a Stasis Warlock with Mantle of Battle Harmony with a Stasis primary. The current sandbox rendered my build next to useless in pvp. Oh well. -
Lol it wasn't changed for trials it was changed for 6's.. that -blam!- felt like mayhem more often then not... while I'm.not q huge fan of the nerfs it will cause people to have to actively engage I fights instead of hiding waitong for supers.. or spamming abilities

8 RepliesYou’re nuts dude. I just play pve cuz I’m getting old and just can’t keep up with the caffeine addicts. But in pve I get my super multiple times during every activity I play. Next time yore playing pve check out those white balls all over the place. You want to pick those up. Fun part is that you can make a shîtt ton of your own! Wild stuff

5 RepliesEdited by Chunk: 12/14/2021 12:38:34 AMMaybe your judging too fast, light subclasses 2.0 is going to fix some of the abilities complaints as they roll out, super use a thresh weapon or bad juju plus get into more gun fights. Also you have a better kda then me this season, probably every season, how are you getting 1 super per game when I'm getting 2
-
7 RepliesNah, gun skills in pvp space magic in Pve
-
2 RepliesApparently Silence and Squall is in the slowest tier and not the fastest tier (I believe CoolGuy found that out).
-
1 ReplyGotta love seeing hunters with their best options in PvP like arcstrider and S&S having a T3 or T4 charge rate, meanwhile titans and warlocks are switching to thundercrash or to nova bomb cause they need to shutdown the roaming supers they simply dont have. Ah man but its fine right? Along with the nerfs to HHSN that you had to predict with or the shoulder charge abilities that were mediocre with literally everyone and their mother running shotties and fusions.
-
They have no content for the next two months so they decided to focus on PvP All these changes will revert back once they release the new content in Feb A TWAB will come out saying that the changes were too drastic and it will be dialed back This way you will feel extra special and will thank them feverishly The hamster wheel goes round and round…..
-
Yea I definitely don't feel powerful at all doing anything anymore it's lost it's I'm an all powerful garduian feel we have killed God's for hecks sake
-
Bungie has always sucked about adding space magic in a game that is based on space magic. Nothing new, sucks, but it is what it is.
-
2 RepliesPretty much back to D2Y1 in terms of space magic. It takes almost 7:30 to get a super with 100 intellect.
-
All they had to do is fix tone down Shatterdive but instead of adjusting their beloved Hunter they did unnecessary things.
