Solitha Story Sign-Ups

Welcome to the Land of Danar (I suck at names, somebody give me a better name pls, i beg of you). Anyway, this shall be the designated sign-up page, which I'm sure the oldies are quite familiar with. For all of you new guys: the basic gist of story sign-ups is you get to create a character that I will be using in my story. Every week, a new page/chapter/part/what have you will come out (unless this crashes and burns in a dumpster fire), and you guys can follow along, watching the story unfold. It's a bit of an old tradition that we used to do, and I always thought it was a lotta fun, even if these stories rarely ever got finished, and most barely started. Some key details about your character are: personality race/appearance occupation (yes hobos count as an occupation) gear/weapons (if any) basic backstory (optional) Those are kinda the basic traits that I need, but if there's anything else that I need to know, throw it in there. Also, if you couldn't tell be the intro, humans are quite rare in the world that I am creating, so I'd like you guys to get creative with the races. You can create your own races, and if you do, I'd like some details about your race's particular traits. You can make a human, if you really want to, but they are a rare species and I'm not sure how I can fit in a bunch of them at once. As the characters come in, I will start solidifying the basic series events floating around in my head, and will approve each character as necessary. I may ask you to adjust your character just a little bit if it doesn't quite fit with the story, but I'm pretty lenient with these kinds of things. Eventually, I'll close the sign-ups, but, until then, it'll be open for a few days. Have fun with it! And if you're going to criticize, don't be afraid to be mean; I've been a diqhead plenty of times on this forum, so my self-esteem can take a few hits and I'll be better off. Thank you!
•
Its been a while since I have done this, so this may such. Though I was not thinking this would be a main character anyways. Either way, tell me if I need to adjust anything or make a new character.
Name: The laughing spirit, balancer of worlds, Rotekatze, other silly titles to make me sound more serious. (My naming is terrible so I just decided to make a character with a hidden true one). Race: This is no corporeal being, but a outerplaner spirit bounded to this world. From some strange outer plane alien to our own, and therefor is much different than most mortals. He can be banished and upon death just returns to his own plane (unless he dies there. Then who knows). Any spells that affect outer planet creatures can harm him, and a wielder of his true name can use it to control him. Though that does have drawbacks, it is also a highly magical being with resistance to non-magical objects and corporeal weapons. Appearance: Being a spirit of the planes and nature, no real corporal form exists for this being. Instead, he has the ability to take on any form that fits its purpose, within reason of course. He can use illusions to take on the forms of any species and any gender if seen fit, and prefers to wander in the form of a red cat. Occupation: Bound servant/bringer of balance. Being summoned by a conjurer and bound to their service does manage to put a damper on things. If summoned by anyone, the red cat will obey their services if they are a powerful enough, though not without a fight if will. Even when being commanded, he will try to sabotage their binders bidding in whatever way he can. The Rotekatzen also serves as more of a balancer, trying to serve the forces of good and evil to a equal balance using plotting and scheming. Bringing downfall to its summoners and fulfilling plots in the shadows is a great hobby. Gear: None to speak of. Corporeal gear is not really his style, unless in disguise. Abilities: This particular spirit is a illusionist, using charms and tricks to plot and scheme. Basically he can make all sorts of auditory and visual illusions, while also being quite good at understanding people’s motivation. Personality: A lot of this is implied above, but I will restate it. Basically, he is a extra-planer creature that does not like being summoned and bound to the material world. (I just realized that you may not use other planes of existence and, if that’s the case, just make him a spirit of nature). He does not like being summoned and will try to bring his summoners downfall through whatever means he can. Though his normal means of getting things done are through deception, charm, and mischief. The mischievous spirit is neutral with chaotic tendencies, preferring to balance the forces of good and evil when possible. Also, he just finds it fun to plot in the shadows. Almost like the witches in MacBeth. He also likes puns, riddles, and general forms of wit. To the extent that he would stop at important moments just to make a joke or little acts of mischief. Backstory: I was not thinking that much. Perhaps he was summoned by a villain of the story to serve as a minion or something. That would actually give him more motivation to aid the hero’s than the opposite due to his tendencies to hate his summoners. Plus, he can act like a silly incompetent villain minion at times. Stopping to make puns when he should be fighting or what not.
