Thatcher (Me) starts gathering supplies and asks Aifos for a mission brief.
I am joining now. I don’t know what to make my character like so some suggestions would be great

Be a mage. We don't have enough mages.
You head out from your room, and down to the Observation Deck. There you find Aifos and Kokonoe looking over a bunch of computers. On Kokonoe's end, there were at least a dozen computers, all filled with a lot of stuff that was far too technical for you to understand. On Aifos' end, he was looking at a map of the city with several small red dots on it, along with with some moving cameras. It wouldn't be too much of a stretch to assume he was looking over the city's security drones. Tager and Theta were in the room as well, sitting on a bench off to the side. Theta looked rather shaken, but despite his brutish appearance, Tager seemed to be doing a good job of keeping her calm. Aifos was too focused on whatever he was doing to notice your entry. You'd likely need to speak first to talk to him.
-
“Aifos what do you need me to do?”
-
He looked up from his computers. "We've done everything we can to prepare, now we just need to strike at Venus before she decides to crush the city with the ocean or something. She's probably hiding in her vinestalk, which means the Garden is the place to strike. Rho's already waiting for you there."
-
I start going to the garden after putting on my new vest
-
Upon reaching the garden, you find Rho's soldiers patrolling the perimeter. In the center of the garden the vinestalk had gotten worse; now composed entirely of glowing blue veins. Several of Rho's soldiers immediately unleashed a hail of gunfire upon it, but it hardly put more than a scratch into it. "Damn it, how do you break this thing..?" Rho muttered under her breath.
-
I try to destroy the veins with a fire spell
-
As the flames clear, you see the veins perfectly intact, with not so much as a burn. "Wow, good job.." Rho said condescendingly, before shoving a box in your face. "Here. I was supposed to give you these."
You got Hydrofluoric Grenades! These grenades were created by Alignment after experimenting on the blue veins! While not able to break them, they were able to weaken them, and will probably work for stunning any creatures made of them!
Then, you hear Venus' voice from some unseen source. "Well, that's enough wasting time. Let's get this show on the road!" She yells with a laugh. Suddenly the vinestalk bursts out, sending several tendrils shooting out into the room. Rho and her soldiers tried to fight them off, but within only a moment each one of them was grabbed, and dragged into the vinestalk. "God d*mn it, not again!" Rho yelled, as she and the others disappeared from sight. Now you were in the room alone, everyone else having been dragged in. While the veins didn't seem to target you, now there was a clear opening in the vinestalk, sitting open, and inviting you in.
-
I walk in after I put a protection spell on myself.
-
As soon as you enter the vinestalk, the entrance closes behind you, and you find yourself in a room, that--unsurprisingly--is made up entirely of the same glowing blue veins that make up the vinestalk itself. You can see hints of something else forming, too, though. Small black stones, either inside the veins, or poking out through their sides. Only a few steps in, and the veins in front of you begin to shift, forming vaguely humanoid figures made of veins. They didn't have any legs, instead having veins making up something of a thick skirt connecting them to the ground. On their head were two black stones that vaguely resembled horns. If you were observant enough, you may have caught a brief glance at the large glowing eyes on the backs of their heads. One of them dove their arm into the ground, and pulled up a heavy slab of black stone that seemed to resemble a sword, but it didn't attack just yet. Seems you get the first move.
-
I blow up one of my grenades and put a special magic wall up to save me from the blast
-
Oh, just realized, I forgot to say. The acid in these grenades is super-dee-duper strong, so make sure not to detonate them close. :p
The grenade goes off, and you see the drops of acid splash against your barrier. As they’re hit, the two creatures begin writhing in pain, stunning them long enough for you to follow up!
-
I go and send two mini lightning bolts through their heads
-
Your bolts harmlessly crash off their surface. A direct assault likely wasn’t going to work; you’ll need to find a weak point! They weren’t going to make it easy, however, as the bladed one charges forwards, dragging its heavy sword along the ground, and coming in for a swing from below!
-
I use a swap spell putting one of the clones in front of the swing of the sword
-
You’ll need to explain that one a bit; what’s the swap spell do in detail?
-
the other entity and I swap places so he is where I was but now I am where the other entity was
-
Are you trying to swap with the monster, or did you create a magic hologram or something?
-
I am trying to swap my physical selfs spot with the other monsters physical spot with my physical body and the other monsters physical body
-
As you try to perform your spell, something seems to prevent it from activating, and it fails. It seems you're unable to teleport the creatures. Speaking of, the other was fast approaching! You'd have to do something else to dodge it, and quick!
-
I use a counter/deflect spell
-
Since you were quite vague there, I'm going to imagine a sort of light screen
The blade crashed against the screen you summoned, and slid off towards the ground. You had an opening, but if memory served you correctly hitting these things directly did very little. You somehow had to curve a shot around to the back of its head.
-
I grab a small knife from my belt and give it a boomerang enchantment and I throw it so when it comes back it hits the back of the monsters head.
-
Your plan works, and the boomerang-knife hits its target, however, now you have a new problem; the knife has pierced straight through, and is now heading straight for your head, too! To make matters worse, the other creature seems rather angry with you, and its arms stretch out to swipe at you from across the room!
-
I hit the knife with a multi target enchantment with expert precision. This enchantment allows it to go and hit the other monster in the back of the head. and it gives me enough time to put up a shield.
the enchantment allows the knife to hit all hostile enemy’s of the same species in the same spot in one throw
-
Unfortunately, the knife was moving too quickly in order for you to cast an enchantment in time. Thankfully, it only grazed your face, though, giving you a cut across the cheek. For some reason, you get the feeling you shouldn’t try that multi-hit, spell. Regardless, you manage to put up your shield, and the claws harmlessly crash against it. However, they keep up their assault, and your shield begins to crack.
