It’s been a while since I’ve last participated in this. The last one I did participate in was either part 3 or 4 so I kind of have no idea what’s going on

Thank you, also, I’m guessing Aubrey’s either dead or in captivity
| *Adria looks around for anyone to talk to.*
-
"Aubrey" was just a cover. She revealed her true name as Venus in Part 4, I believe. May have been Part 5.
You were in your own room, so there was nobody in the immediate area. Things have mostly calmed down since the attack earlier, and Joshua had returned safe and sound, so most anyone in the city should be available if you wanted to chat before you headed out. The one exception would be Rho, who was hesitantly assigned to guard the Gardens. As that was your final destination anyway, it was probably best to speak to her last. Character list:
Aifos - Observation Deck Fukua - Amaterasu's Gift, hallways Kokonoe - Observation Deck Lambda - Amaterasu's Gift, hallways Tager - Observation Deck Theta - Observation Deck Joshua - Amaterasu's Gift, bedroom Ellie - Amaterasu's Gift, bedroom Aaron - Amaterasu's Gift, bedroom
-
Well that’s just great
| *Adria heads to the Observation Deck.*
-
You head from your hotel room, out towards the Grand Hall, and then to the Observation Deck, where you find Aifos and Kokonoe pouring over a bunch of computers. The computers Kokonoe was looking over all looked very, very complicated, and whatever she was working on you couldn't tell. On Aifos' computer, though, there was a map of the city, and various red dots around it. Several not-great cameras seemed to be filling some of the monitors nearby, though they weren't stationary and seemed to be taking patrol routes. It wouldn't be too much of a stretch to assume he was controlling the security drones. Tager and Theta were in the room as well, sitting on a bench against the far wall. Theta was looking better, though she still seemed rather shaken by everything that's happened. Tager, despite his brutish apperance, seemed to be doing a good job of helping her keep calm. Though Tager and Theta did hand you a glance as you walked in, neither Kokonoe nor Aifos seemed to notice, both of them absorbed into their work.
-
*Adria heads over to Kokonoe.*
-
Kokonoe continues focusing on he work for several minutes, until she finally looks up with an annoyed look on her face--probably from you standing behind her for so long. "What?" She asks plainly.
-
“So, I just have to kill someone?”
-
"Yes. Go find Venus and take her down."
-
“Who is Venus.”
-
"One of the three goddesses of the Trinity. She's the one who's been masterminding the whole plan. Probably thrown here by her mother. She was supposedly killed a millennia ago, but I guess she found some way to come back to life. Hopefully, you can undo that."
-
*Adria nods, brandishes her claws, and heads to the Garden.*
-
Once you enter the garden, you find Rho and her soldiers patrolling the perimeter. The vinestalk from before had gotten worse, as all of the vines have transformed into glowing blue veins. Immediately, some of Rho's soldiers began unleashing a barrage of fire towards it, though to little effect. "D*mn it.." Rho said. "What does it take to break this thing..?"
-
“No clue.” | *Adria sharpens her claws.*
-
"Very helpful." Rho carelessly tosses you a box, and heads closer to the vinestalk.
You got Hydrofluoric Grenades! These grenades were created by Alignment after he studied a sample of the veins from a monster. They won't be able to kill them, but they should be able to stun them. Mind the blast radius, the acid inside will hurt you a lot more than it'll hurt them.
"Well, it seems our guest of honor has arrived.." You hear Venus' voice chime in from some unknown source. "Let's get this party started then!" Suddenly, the vinestalk bursts open, and several dozen tendrils fill the room. They all seem to give you a wide berth, instead aiming for Rho and her soldiers. Though they try to fight back, it proves ineffective, and they all get grabbed by the veins and pulled inside the vinestalk. "God d*mn it, not again!" Rho yells as she's dragged away. Within an instant you are in the room alone, only now there is an opening in the vinestalk inviting you inside.
-
“Don’t mind if I do.” | *Adria heads inside.*
-
Remember to be as descriptive as possible when describing your attacks & dodges. I can’t work with vague descriptions.
As soon as you enter the vinestalk, the entrance closes behind you, and you find yourself in a room, that--unsurprisingly--is made up entirely of the same glowing blue veins that make up the vinestalk itself. You can see hints of something else forming, too, though. Small black stones, either inside the veins, or poking out through their sides. Only a few steps in, and the veins in front of you begin to shift, forming vaguely humanoid figures made of veins. They didn't have any legs, instead having veins making up something of a thick skirt connecting them to the ground. On their head were two black stones that vaguely resembled horns. If you were observant enough, you may have caught a brief glance at the large glowing eyes on the backs of their heads. One of them dove their arm into the ground, and pulled up a heavy slab of black stone that seemed to resemble a sword, but it didn't attack just yet. Seems you get the first move.
-
*Adria lunges towards the creature and attempts to slash at it with her claws.*
-
Your claws harmlessly bouce off of their thick hide. A direct assault wasn’t going to work; they had to have some sort of weak point! Now that you were close, the one with a sword hefts it forwards for a heavy swing from the side.
-
*Adria attempts to dodge and looks for a weak point.*
-
You’ll need to be more descriptive. How are you dodging?
-
Rolling to the right
-
You narrowly manage to roll out of the way, and catch a glimpse of a large glowing eye on the back of its head. However, its assault doesn't halt, and as soon as the blade strikes the ground, for a wide swing in front of it.
-
*Adria attempts to roll to the right of the creature.*
-
Remember to attack & defend in the same turn
Unfortunately, as it was going for a wide swing, going to the right didn't help you escape its swing radius, and you still took a heavy blow, knocking you to the ground. Now on your back, the creature raises its blade into the air, for a vertical swing on top of you.
