My recent post was blocked, when I broke no violation, bungie show show veterans across the world who support their game and put time and money into Destiny 2. I feel they disrespected some veterans out there for the actions bungie did today.

If you have questions or concerns over your own forum violations, feel free to message any Ninja. The Destiny 2 forum is not the place to discuss it. Thanks.

What bungie is doing is absolutely shameful, disrespectful, and disgusting. To all the veterans, thank you for your service.

5 Repliesvery sad to see it I am huge bungie fan and advocate. I spend so much money on their stuff and business but this makes me second guess the future.

It doesn’t align with the woke agenda.

1 ReplyI’m offended by this censorship, it’s uncalled for and hypocritical

1 ReplyEdited by ShrewdShogun: 11/11/2021 10:29:09 PMSeems like this would be big news in the video game world should a video game news site or twitter become aware of a game developer locking threads on their offical forum becuase players want to honour a day like this...

10 RepliesI'm going to have to post this into all of these ignorant topics that are trending. I know you Americans often struggle to see beyond your own borders, but there's a lot more to the world that just America. Veterans day is an American thing and has no meaning to a huge proportion of the player base. Bungie may be based in America, but their customers are from all over the world, many will be from countries that America has invaded and killed civilians from. Can you not see how it'd be kinda wrong for Bungie to celebrate that?

8 RepliesCan a ninja inform everyone why these threads are being locked before they lock this one too?

4 RepliesI no understanding why Bungie blocked all veterans post I refused use free emblem this week

1 ReplyBungie doesn't care. Supporting LGBTQ+ is what's hot right now so they're gonna prioritize that instead of an American holiday that most people don't even get off from work or school. Supporting the LGBTQ+ community and honoring veterans aren't mutually exclusive concepts though, so I'm not sure why they're handing it how they are.

Happy veterans day! Murica!

2 RepliesMy dad's dad and his dad's brother (my great-great-uncle) both served in active duty: My great$^2$-uncle in WWI (we actually still have his helmet -- pretty cool if I say do myself)and my grandfather in the Merchant Marine after WWII (I don't remember exactly when). My parents are both engineers who both worked for the DoD as civilians; my mom is "retired" (because of me and my brothers lol), but my dad still works at (redacted for privacy. Nice try, though.). Point is, today holds a sort of special significance for my family and my dad's family. I'm not going to make any shallow comments or say anything mushy, but just remind you that there are veterans who have paid very steep prices to defend our country. Honor them! Not just today; all the time. What they have done collectively is impressive, recognize and acknowledge that! Probably the most respectful thing you could do today is to go out on the street, look for some homeless veteran, and buy him dinner. Seriously. Go do that! Or see if any of your neighbors are veterans; make them dinner! Seriously. Veteran's day isn't just about lip service, it's about honoring and respecting veterans in a tangible, (eatable?) personal fashion. The upshot of this is that we ought to support these less fortunate than us; today is an excellent excuse to do that.

Thank you vets!

We should be able to have at least one thread to honor our Veterans!! It is Veterans Day after all.

Happy Veterans day, and a belated Happy Marine Corps. birthday!

1 ReplyAs a Combat Veteran, I would like to acknowledge Bungie’s lack of support and appreciation for the World Veteran Community, and their role in maintaining World Order and prevent chaos and anarchy, by simply stating the following,… You are welcome.
-
1 ReplyI just cancelled my pre-order. If Bungie wants to exclude us vets, I am going to exclude Bungie. I'm done with it.
-
8 RepliesIt's because it's not a hot topic in the world of snowflakes and activists. It has to be gay, Trans, BLM etc to be a worthy cause in their eyes. Appease the masses is what they go for so there is no backlash. I agree with you 100%, there are real heroes in this world and they should be recognized.

My grandfathers gave years of service to the US armed forces and one of them is no longer with us. Yesterday marked 11 years since he passed, gave 30+ years. I may not have served but grandfathers did, this has me feel like they just gave the ones I love the middle finger
