You may have intended this as a joke, but honestly this sounds rather brilliant. I like the idea of having spells that aren’t just for combat. :p

Edited by CommonBlueberry: 10/23/2021 10:44:09 PMGot 3 more for ya, the first is pretty simple. Summon Odor: Stahn'ke Li-eg! Summons any odor.
sidenote: this spell should be limited to the mage's knowledge, imo. For example, if a mage has never smelled roses, then they shouldn't be able to summom the smell of roses.
Copycat: Meeeee--owha He! Summons a near-perfect copy of the last cat the target saw. Alternate versions could be all animals, food items, or whatever else, you get the idea. Birdbrain: Bok bok bok Gobba gobba! See the thoughts of the nearest bird.

Unfortunately, I can’t see much reason to use any of these during the narrative. Maybe birdbrain, as a sort of spying/scouting thing, but these others seem a bit too particular to have much use for. >.>

You mean there's no tacitical advatage to making entire battlfield smell like a fart?? Lol
-
I could see it being useful for a stealth mission, but I think I’ll stick with my auditory distraction for those. :p
these others seem a bit too particular to have much use for. >.>
You could use Summon Odor or Copycat to cause a distraction.
-
I suppose. I think the auditory distraction I have is more useful there, though (I called it Whisper, don't remember what the original name was). Giving the protag three different distraction spells seems a little much; I don't want to overwhelm the reader. :p
I think the auditory distraction I have is more useful there
What could possibly be more distracting than a kitten?
-
A little bit of both, tbh. I figured most others here would go for giant spirit lazors, so something goofy should spice things up a bit.

Heh. "Spice things up a bit".
