Here’s this if you’re still wanting to join.
This is basically just the last part of the summary; it’s the stuff that just barely happened.
You’ll need a character to play as. Don’t need to go to in depth here—you can just call them Elijah if you want. Of course, if you want to make a new name, and some super in depth backstory, that works too.
It’s a freeform RP, so they can be basically whatever you want. Human, elf, fish person, demon, alien, whatever. Just nothing too op like a god or something.
They’ll need a way to fight. Once again, the specifics aren’t too important; you can use magic, swords, guns, whatever. Once again, just nothing op like reality bending.
Once you’ve got that all figured out, all you’ve got to do is post on the thread. Fight the baddies I throw at you, talk to the NPCs, and so on. You just sorta make it up as you go along.
Oh, but it takes place in an underwater city, that’s under lockdown, so crucially that means you can’t have just barely entered. You’ll have to pretend you were there the whole time.
To that end, I can give you a summary if you’d like. Or you can just wing it—whatever works.
Note: This RP takes place when Aifos was president of Offtopic. Even though that is no longer the case irl, he is still president within the RP.
President Aifos, with the help of his friend/employer Kokonoe created an underwater city known as Aria, and hosted a party allowing the residents of Offtopic to visit for free. Unbeknownst to the guests, however, the city was more than just a city; deep within was a facility Aifos used to resurrect a group of androids known as the "Boundary-Interface Prime Field Devices", or PFDs for short. Aifos, after a complicated series of events, was a human soul within a PFD. His android body is known as Xi-14.
The PFDs were created to explore someone known as "the Boundary", but their creators soon grew afraid of what they found there, and decided to destroy the PFDs, causing a many years long war which the PFDs eventually lost, being wiped out completely. Aifos took pity on them, and wanted to give them a second chance to live alongside humans. The party was supposed to be the first step towards this goal.
However, things quickly took a turn for the worst, as on the second day one of the PFDs, known as Fie-21, was found dead, with the ominous message written under her corpse in blood: "Death to the Angels". Aifos quickly put together a group of detectives, and they found the empath psychologist, Joshua, as the culprit. Realizing he was backed against a wall, however, Joshua pulled a last ditch attempt to lead the detectives into a trap. This trap, as it turns out, wasn't for the detectives, but the true killer; Aubrey.
Joshua was wounded as the detectives tried to capture Aubrey, but she unfortunately managed to escape. Aifos' adopted daughter, Fukua, joined in the hunt, and together she and the detectives managed to hunt down Aubrey only for her to reveal her true identity as Venus; a goddess of a cult known as "the Trinity". As Venus is supposedly dead, there has been some doubt as to whether this is Aubrey's true identity, but either way her powers are no joke.
It seemed Venus has the power to reactivate the deceased PFDs, transforming them into killing machines known as "Abaddon Units". Fie was made into one such monster. The Trinity-possessed Fie cut through almost all of Kokonoe and Aifos' defenses, quite nearly defeating them, but the detectives stepped in at the last minute to stop her. They tried to bring her back to her senses, but as an Abaddon Unit, she was forced to listen to Venus' command. Just as she was about to strike down the detectives, though, her own sister, another PFD known as Rho-17, dealt the final blow.
While everyone was demoralized and distracted by the depressing fight against Fie, Venus quickly sent the city into chaos, and though the detectives put up a valiant effort in fighting her back, they got sidetracked as Rho went rogue, and tried to hijack the shopkeeper AI; a holographic mermaid known as SAYU. She revealed that SAYU wasn't just a shopkeeper AI, but actually a super weapon that Aifos had locked down. Both Aifos and SAYU seemed to be fairly certain that if her weapons systems were reactivated, it would spell chaos, and so the detectives did their best to try and talk Rho down.
Just when things finally seemed to be looking up, though, Rho and the detectives were ambushed by Venus, and things quickly became apparent that they couldn't beat her. Joshua came in at the last second, and helped hold her off. His empathetic powers picked up a lot of pain coming from the upper floors, though, and so he decided to fight Venus on his own, while sending the detectives back up to the Grand Hall.
That is where our story left off..
Note, every time I say "the detectives", it's referring to the players.
