Won’t happen. You simply waited too long to try for the rewards. The urchin error was likely because Bungie removed trials at weekly reset so it kicked you from the area that is no longer active.

If bungie truly didnt want players to aim for flawless up until the last minute, they would disable matchmaking earlier than tuesday reset. This guy earned his ticket to the lighthouse and deserves his loot
-
Wrong. Not everyone is in it for flawless. So no, matchmaking shouldn’t be disabled.
-
The important thing is, this player DID in fact earn that 7 win flawless and DOES deserve rewards. It would be nice to see a system like what i mentioned, but that doesnt change what already happened.

Edited by robe eh coni: 9/21/2021 10:57:20 PMNot everyone is in it for flawless but theres no way for bungie to predict which players are and arent attempting to hit the lighthouse. Assume everyone is going for that 7th win. Simple fix would be to cut off pvp matchmaking early OR add a grace period for the lighthouse post reset. It would only need to be an hour or so. If someone just hit 5 wins, oh well. They cant search for the next games because trials matchmaking is closed. If someone finished that final win at the exact time reset happens, let them get their flawless rewards. Its really that simple. Once again, if bungie didnt intend for people to be able to get to the lighthouse as the clock strikes midnight, they wouldnt let you search for that final game. They do a similar thing for maintenance. Theres 3 tiers of shutting down activities. A message pops up in orbit, then people can finish games but cant matchmake new ones, finally things get shutdown altogether once everyone is out of their games. Wouldn't be that hard to introduce something similar for the lighthouse. At noon send out a 1:00 pm final call message for players currently in trials matchmaking. Once 1:00 pm rolls around, cut off matchmaking and let people finish games. Keep that final call lighthouse open to players from 1:00 pm until 1:59 pm. Or they could do the same exact thing except push it back an hour. Warning at 11:00 am, matchmaking cutoff at 12:00, final call open until 12:59. This one seems easier to implement.

Since house of wolves (6 years almost now) this has been a thing
Won’t happen. You simply waited too long to try for the rewards.
I didn't really wait, I was basically up all night trying to do this :-/

You completed the task too close to the deadline. Therefore, you were doing it at last minute (regardless of circumstances as to why).
-
If the lighthouse wasn't an activity and the game just gave you the flawless loot the game that you get the flawless on, this wouldn't be an issue in the first place, yet here we are :|
-
Perhaps…but the flawless loot has always been part of the lighthouse activity & opening the chest there. So that’s a moot point.

Trials is available for a limited time each week and is removed with the weekly reset. This has been a known fact since Trials was introduced in D1. It is not Bungie's fault you left it too late and like any other activity with a limited timespan once that reset happens it is over.
It is not Bungie's fault you left it too late and like any other activity with a limited timespan once that reset happens it is over.
I loaded into the lighthouse as fast as I possibly could. It just kinda hurts that even after loading into the activity, I was kicked before I was able to hold E on a chest to get the spoils of my effort
