This is saddening. Spending about 3000+ hours on Destiny 2 on both Battle.net and Steam combined, just to suddenly be halted by something we cannot fix. The time, money, and the love poured into gameplay and making friends, suddenly snatched away. I don't want to PC shop at this moment, my current one is still hanging in there, and I don't want to spend too much money at this time. I was excited to play this season... now though? I just want the game to run again.
All we can do now, is wait. Wait and hope.

I feel you, mate. Started playing last year and this game is what made me new friends and kept me going through some severe -blam!-, so i started throwing money for each season pass and the expacs, as a sort of thanks. Let's hope they won't forget about us.

There are a lot of people in that exact situation right now. At least there are more signs that it's likely to get fixed now than there were a few hours ago. Let's all keep hope and focus alive until we can all get back to playing Destiny 2 on our operating systems of choice. Our Light has not gone out.

Yea I've sunk nearly 3k hours into this game since December, it helped me get past my mother dying in January, I'm beyond irked at this problem I can't do anything about, and disappointed that we've just been left to spin in the wind here.

My grandfather died this week from a heart attack brought on by Covid... And I can't... even use Destiny to bring some comfort.

I know how ye feel, I hope they are actually working on a fix so we can all get back to getting better

Imagine if Destiny 2 or 1 could be played solo offline or peer-to-peer, sort of like Diablo 2 used to be. That would be a feature I'd love to see, even if it meant local saves were completely separate and we had to start from scratch for our solo play. It would certainly make waiting out this situation MUCH easier.
