“No, but thank you. Mind locking down the store? Nobody comes in, nobody goes out?” Cobalt walks past her, and heads for the mystery cooler.

 • "Okay! But only for a little bit!" SAYU said, as a pink barrier appeared over the entrance of the store. You make your way to the cooler in the far corner of the store. If the report you heard was to be believed, all the shelves inside were holographic. Surely enough, that turned out to be true; you could walk right through them. Pushing on the back wall, it popped open to a dark tunnel, with walls primarily made of pipes and other machinery. You follow it along until you reach a large circular room. There are two exits that lead to Le Restaurant, and Amaterasu's Gift, but they aren't what interest you at the moment. (you can't follow those tunnels, so don't try it! :p) You see the sacrificial altar in the center of the room, still stained with dried blood. All evidence pointed towards it being the spot where Fie was murdered. Up on the wall beyond it was the halo of the Divine Trinity, and that phrase "DEATH TO THE ANGELS" written below. Aubrey didn't seem to be here.

 •
Cobalt goes to the road to Ameratsu’s Gift. B)
Cobalt goes and looks at the altar, losing a custom forensic program, attempting to determine the way Fie was killed. Blood spray patterns, droplet spread, whatever.

 •
There he finds Aubrey waiting for him, and she turns into a giant monster, eating him in one bite. He dies. The end.
As you look closer at the altar, a strange feeling washes over you. Your eyes begin to sag, and your head bobs as you begin to get irresistibly tired. Not entirely by your own free will, you wind up climbing up on top of the altar, and closing your eyes.. Slowly drifting off into sleep.. You find yourself in a church. In front of you is a towering statue of a woman with half of her face replaced by a skull. She's staring down at you, with her hands clasped together in prayer.
Sounds fun. Also, this is probably magical sleep, yeah?
Cobalt looks around with his eyes, but stays still. “Should... I move?”

 •
Yeah, something like that.
Looking around, you see you're standing in between two rows of long chairs, lined up to allow groups of people to sit before the statue. Likely, so that someone can stand beneath it and give a sermon. There's a large set of double doors behind you, across the building, and there seems to be a side wing not far from it. The church is empty, and nobody responds to your question.. But, also, nothing happens, so moving is probably the only way to get something to happen.

 • Cobalt leans his head back against the altar, waiting. He slowly puts his hands against his Lex sidearms.

 •
So, did you walk up to the statue, and lean your head against it, or are you referring to the altar in the real world? You can't interact with the altar in the real world if that's what you meant.
•
Oh, my bad! I thought Cobalt woke up on an altar, not staring at the statue.
Cobalt steps away from the statue, wary.

 •
Ah, sorry, my bad. Yeah, you're in a dream world. The altar, and underwater city, and all that, isn't here. Just you in an empty church, staring at a big scary statue.
The statue's eyes seem to follow you as you move. After taking a few steps back, you can see down a corridor on the right. There you can see three stained glass windows, though you can't quite make out the forms they're depicting quite yet. You get the feeling that you'll either need to head for the windows, or interact with the statue.

 • "Aubrey, is that you?" A voice asks into your mind. "No.. You're someone.. Different. Someone, I don't recognize. Who are you? What are you doing here? Why are you talking with me?"
I'm assuming you're referring to technically already knowing the statue. And yeah, I hear ya. Do you have any idea how hard it was to have everyone talking to Aubrey without her leaving some cryptic joke about being the murderer? :p
• “I... fell asleep on a altar, woke up here. Believe me, I don’t want to harm anyone.”
Hey, she could’ve. Dunno if Cobalt would’ve picked up on it.
•
I wanted to make sure it wasn't too obvious. In the end I guess it worked a little too well, though, because you all took my bait and went for Joshua. That was intentional; I tried to make Joshua look suspicious, but I didn't expect EVERYBODY to choose him. Still, it could've been worse. If you chose anyone besides Aubrey or Josh, Joshua would have gotten killed!
"I see." The voice said. "Dreamer, or Pilgrim, I assume then this is not a place in which you wish to stay. If you want to return to your own world, you must find the Heart of this dream. Your search begins here in this chapel, but that is all the advice I . .. can ..... . offer . . . . ." The voice goes silent, and you get the feeling it won't speak to you again.

 •
I doubt it would’ve weighed to heavily on Cobalt’s conscious, to be honest.
“Well, thank you. Do you want... patronage, or anything?”

 •
Yeah, he doesn't seem to like Joshua much. Which is part of why I wanted to do a crossover with you. I want to write a Cobalt/Joshua fight. It'd be fun to have Joshua mock him the whole time! :p
The voice doesn't respond, which is probably a good thing. As it turns out, being a freaky dream world, you didn't really have anything to give it anyway. Still, your search began in this church? From what you've seen there's not a lot you could interact with. A few rows of chairs, a big set of double doors, and the trio of windows on the off branch, and that's about it.

 •
I don't think grenades are the smartest tool to use against someone with telekinesis. :p
You see three windows. On the far left, a woman with short black hair tied up into a bun. In the middle was the figure the statue was depicting, a woman with only half a face, and the other being an exposed skull. On the far right was a woman with long blonde hair. All three were wearing white dresses.

 • There was a large set of double doors at the fromt of the hall across from the statue. There were rows of chairs running between them, and that was all that was in the room.

 • The doors don’t budge. It seems they’re locked. You might be able to climb out a window if you smash it down, though.
