Notice 1: This RP is watched over by the Takamagahara System. If you perform any action that is considered to be god-modding, or otherwise not allowed, you will be issued a warning, and the T3 will rewrite time to undo your actions. Repeated warnings may get you banned from the RP. Remember to play nice!
Notice 2: In order to participate in this RP your character cannot survive underwater. Whether it's from the extreme pressure, the lack of air, or both, leaving the city outside of official transport is not survivable.
Notice 3: This is a pseudo shared RP, and talking with other players is recommended. However, to keep things organized, please do not just hop into another player's comment chain and start chatting them up. Instead, tell me you want to talk with them, and I will create a separate comment chain for the convo.
You will go through most events in the RP alone, but Key Encounters will be shared.
Notice 4: You can still join this RP even if you haven't participated in previous parts. If you need a summary of the plot up to this point, feel free to ask me, and I can get you one!
If you have any questions, please contact your local RP admin! (that's me!)
You wake up in the Amaterasu's Gift Hotel, where Aifos has provided you with a room to stay during your trip to the underwater city, Aria. Something feels.. Off in the air. Something feels wrong. Whenever you eventually leave the hotel, it's a short water-tunnel to the Grand Hall, where you find there's a crowd that's gathered, and a cloud of panicked mumbling fills the air. The crowd wasn't one unanimous group, as a smaller group had broken off from the main crowd, huddling in a corner. They seemed the most shaken, and standing in front of them was Rho, carefully watching the crowd, and aggressively chasing off anyone who approached.
It didn't take too long to realize what had happened. A quick glance to the front of the hall, and you could see a haunting view waiting to greet you. Fie, pinned to the wall, hanging lifelessly high above the crowd. Behind her were symbols, drawn in blood; eight straight lines, drawn in a position to look like wings sprouting off her back, a halo encircling her head, with five T-shaped prongs, jabbing out from its messily scrawled arc. And underneath the grisly scene were four words, painted in blood just like the rest;
"DEATH TO THE ANGELS"
Before you had time to process the scene, Aifos and Lambda flew in from behind the crowd, stopping in mid-air upon seeing the scene. His expression was covered by his visor, but you could see him cover his mouth in horror when he saw it. He slowly floated over to the corpse, and put his hand on her shoulder, bowing his head in mourning. If you were paying attention, you could see Rho drop her guard for just a second, though you could only imagine what was going on inside her head.
Suddenly, the melancholy scene was interrupted by the sound of several heavy doors slamming shut, including those leading to the submarines back to the surface. Kokonoe's voice chimed in over the intercom.
"Attention all citizens, and tourists of Aria. PFD Unit Fie-21 has been confirmed deceased. No one will be allowed in or out of the city until the murderer has been found. Please return your rooms, and do not make any unnecessary trips outside. If you have any information, please report to the nearest security drone. That will be all."
"A lockdown..?" Aifos asked in surprise. The panicked talk among the crowd grew louder, though with some intervention from Lambda along with some security drones, and everyone was escorted back to their apartments with no issues. Everyone except Rho, and Aifos himself, who both stood quietly in the Grand Hall. They exchanged a stoic glance, before Rho walked away.
Before you can head to your room, or try to talk to either of them, you're contacted by a small floating drone, which opens up to a screen showing Kokonoe. "I want you to meet me in the observation deck. Now."

74 RepliesKey Encounter
This is a Key Encounter. There will be at least one per part. Your actions during these sections will determine the outcome of the story. Key Encounters are shared by everyone, so in order to keep one person from hogging all the Key Choices, everyone will be assigned a d20 roll. Whoever gets the highest (or the first person to get 20) will be the one to make a choice as to what happens. On your part, just list what you want to do, and I'll take it from there. Due to the nature of Key Encounters, I will have to control some actions for you, but I will try to keep that to a minimum.
You receive an emergency communication from Aifos. "A cloaked figure matching Kokonoe's description has been spotted at the garden! I'm in pursuit, catch up as soon as you can! Aifos out!" You immediately make your way there as quick as you can. By the time you get there, though, things have already taken a turn for the worst. You see a figure in white cloak, and smooth white mask holding a knife to Theta's throat. Aifos is already there, with his weapons systems activated, but he's hesitating to make a move. The figure laughs underneath their mask. "Well.. And here I thought she'd be all alone." The figure said. Their voice was distorted, likely by their mask. "So, you found your murderer, I guess. What are you going to do now? One wrong move, and she's dead."
The murderer is surrounded, but has Theta as a hostage. You still don't know who they are, or how much of a threat they pose. What do you do?
69 Replies“Well, Athera. Another case of some sycophant on the loose again. Just like that time in Archon, when you almost decided to date one.” A man stated with a smug grin, checking on his revolver, his short spiky copper hair and brown trench coat lightly swaying as he lead the two, walking to the observatory room. His hands slowly made sure something was there, hidden within. “Talk about that again; Argus, and I’ll make you drown in this underwater city somehow with my bare hands. Plus, I thought you were already on that precious date with Matilda?” Athera responded with a snarl, her long shoulder-length chestnut hair bobbing along as she cracked her knuckles and adjusted her black jeans as they walked into the room.

Cobalt’s negotiations have wound up with Theta safe and sound. The murderer got away, but luckily nobody was hurt. Aifos lets out a sigh of relief, and sits by Theta to make sure she’s alright. You can talk with them if you’d like.
We’ll be moving on to the next part soon, but you can feel free to chat with them even after it’s up.

https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/258761657/0/0/1
11 RepliesWant to talk about the evidence you've found with your fellow detectives? Well here's the place to do it! I'd recommend searching around on your own before popping into this comment chain, though; you all find the same pieces of evidence, so stumbling upon it here first might dampen your solo investigations.
