A while back there was an update that should have fixed the poor performance on PC.
Well, the game still runs extremely bad.
40-50 FPS @1440p low settings on the Tangled Shore and about 110 FPS in Crucible even when looking at a wall during a private match.
My hardware shouldn't be a problem here since I am running a 6800XT and a 5600X with 32GB (3600Mhz) Ram.
So far these issues have not been acknowledged in any recent TWAB and it is really frustating that Destiny 2 is the only game with this problem. Every other game runs like you would expect given the hardware.
Really dont know why nobody is vocal about this problem.

Try running destiny as administrator.

2 RepliesI managed to get rid of stutters and squeeze 90-144fps(usually around 110) in 3440x1440 with my 5700xt Solution was: 1. Going back to 20.4.2 driver 2. Removing windows game bar completely 3. Setting foliage and shadows to minimum, disabling depth of field All other settings are set to maximum, FXAA and HDAO, 105 FOV

1 ReplyPerformance has been absolutely terrible for months and never seems to be any mention of it in updates or TWABs

4 RepliesA Megathread is already going on here: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/257630620 Many of us have been complaining in there for some time, you can come join us. Please report it to AMD too here https://www.amd.com/en/support/contact-email-form and in addition file a bug report directly within Radeon Software (under settings -> system -> issue report). As you can see in this Reddit thread some AMD employees are aware of the problem: https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/lr759l/wanna_know_about_destiny_2_with_driver_2042/gpfbxxc?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3 There's an issue with AMD drivers too, it's not just the game; it's not gonna get solved if we don't report it to AMD too.

File a bug report about this through radeon software. Them ore people who do it the likelier it will be that they do something about it on their end.

Edited by Casterx: 3/16/2021 7:59:37 PMThe performance thing is since i started destiny a big questionmark just with the knowledge that nothing what bungie or google advices to increase it will work. For me its like in every pve activity (except battlefields!) i run with always 60fps no drop not even a 59fps. BUT in open world, tower and gambit + pvp (except trials) i only get between 30-45fps. Its not my hardware for sure cause otherweise why should i have 60 fps in many areas. IMO Crossplay and serverconnections to various internetprovidors caused this at least for pc players. When i read that wow ps5 120fps in cruicible i just want to cry and think and then "nerv" Mouse lol :D The only point i think my hardware is responible is the amd driver :D One thing imo Battlefield is coded really bad cause just no perf is horrible just not fun (grinding is no fun but like that ;D) I really love the game itself and think PC deserves an own server and crossplay sucks . ;)

Ha and the new update made if for me worse. My GPU is idle around 65% usage now before I was on 80 at least. for Nvidia users came a patch, but we (AMD user) needs to hope that AMD will fix it cause bungie does a f for us.
