Now that bungie have stated they're looking into ways to change trials to increase its audience this was just a couple thoughts I had.
Firstly you could make it so the 3, 5 & 7 rewards, rather than dropping from a bounty, drop from vendor rank 3, 5 & 7 each week. Make them non-powerful drops so they don't nullify the wins way of getting them and keep the drops from the wins to earn them faster.
I know people will say "stupid, why give loot to the noobs, git gud!" Etc. Before saying that think about what this will do to the playlist. People will have to be playing 15-20 hours of trials over the weekend on bounties or the odd win to have any chance of getting the 7 reward via this method, both increasing the playerbase and giving players the rewards they want without resorting to carries and recovs.
Plus with tokens only dropping from wins or bounties people have to play to win rather than just leap off the map a million times like the current 3 bounty.
The god tier players get to gatekeep the adept flawless loot and titles but everyone benefits.
The other method I think would work is similar to siege. Put trials into tiers abd at the end of the season you get an ornament set for that seasons trials armour based on your tier.
E.g. You suck and only get bronze you get ornaments that barely change the look. You get diamond you get fancy animated armour that looks fly as a ma-bleep-er like the old D1 raid ornaments.
What ya think?
