Ever since Beyond Light, I've noticed strange visual bugs involving the HDR lighting. The most common distortion I've seen is a strange redshift/glare that appears in certain types of shadows and the "Revive" screen. At times, the distortion is enough to actually block visibility. I've tried adjusting my TV's settings, and running the built-in Xbox HDR calibration app, but it doesn't appear to have any effect.
Most times, it's only a minor distraction - but on occasion it actually impacts my ability to play the game. If anyone has any information on a fix for this issue, I'd appreciate it. Thank you.

100% agree, HDR is inconsistent. Sometimes I'll boot up destiny and it will be vibrant, other times the colors are washed out. I'm on a series x and a TCL TV with HDR

Same major issues on the new series x aswell. All other games with hdr are gorgeous with destiny 2 being a very hard and ugly exception

Nessus is almost unplayable its so bright. Im on the one x and I've messed with my TV and xbox hdr setting and it won't fix too. I hope they fix this soon

Edited by THU31: 11/20/2020 10:58:03 AMOn PC lighting in HDR is broken as well. SDR is also affected, but not as much. Here are two photos of my TV in HDR mode, and one in-game SDR screenshot. The two photos accurately show what you can actually see on screen. https://imgur.com/gallery/rBcAEfp This is the worst on EDZ and Nessus, where most darker areas are broken. On other destinations this mostly happens during flashing lights (like a storm), but on Europa inner areas are always bugged. Weather and time of day affect the severity of this issue. The problem exists on older and latest drivers (NVIDIA).

Bungie is telling everyone thanks for the report. It been 10 days with no official comment on what's wrong or when a fix is coming. Half of the game is almost unplayable.
