Is a mass multiplayer game. Most quests that require a team matchmake for you or they have the find fireteam tab on this app. So they have given the solo players an easy option for the group activities.
So stop hiding behind the solo card and ask for help like a big boy.

Imagine thinking being a solo player is a choice
-
Well being solo is a choice. Bungie gave everyone a find fireteam tab right here in this app. I see posts for mostly everything every day. On top of that they made clans. Lastly if you want something bad enough, pay someone better than you to do it for you. Being solo is a choice. If you think otherwise you deserve to struggle pointlessly.

It’s not always a choice. Scroll down.

It's a choice. Its laziness. It's not anyone's fault but their own.
-
Did you read it
-
I dont have to read it. It's a choice. Even if someone has a gun to you head telling you that if you join a team they will shoot it's still a choice to play solo.

Choice of the adult. Not bungie's fault.

The one affected by it can do nothing and simply hope that they can solo a raid
-
Do nothing? They can: 1, ask to be able to play. 2, ask for the controls to be changed 3, figure out a way around the controls 4, be of appropriate age to make the choice on their own Always a choice or option. Players that dont have control of their game because of parental control shouldn't be playing a game that is limited by them. Solo play IS a choice. NOTHING prevents this from BUNGIE, and it's not their fault or concern. They make the game, rate the content, and now have made a LFG option that's controlled by them to aid solo gamers.
-
Uh, because it is a choice? You cannot describe to me a single situation that requires someone to play solo that will not be fixed by the LFG systems that are in place (except in Stadia because nobody plays) If you wish to play solo, that's fine. You just need to recognize that it's a choice and that you won't be able to complete ALL content
-
I can describe a situation: Ever heard of parental controls?

Edited by svenkir: 5/14/2020 7:47:38 PMAh, I see your point. However, I will counter with the fact that the times when that actually matters are a fringe case that will seem exacerbated if you're a part of it. Nearly everyone who has parental controls is quite young, and young enough that they would not be able to grasp many raid mechanics for example. On the other end, nearly all players that have the gaming abilities (talking comprehension and skill, not matchmaking related) would not have parental controls. Also, if you're on Xbox, you can have a XBL Silver account, which effectively has Gold when its home xbox has another account that has Gold has set that xbox as their home. So sure, maybe 1/10 Timmies age 5-10 are not able to do Trials, but they likely wouldn't be able to anyway if they did not have parental controls. This also depends on the parental controls stopping messaging. If they don't, then they can LFG. So yes technically you are right, but that effectively applies to 0.5% of the playerbase
-
Yeah, there are people over 15 who have parental controls on. There’s nothing they can do about it and they can just never do a raid or any non-matchmade activity.
-
Right, what I was trying to say is that the "People over 15 without the ability to message other players because of parental controls" group is quite small. But again, I acknowledge your point that they exist, even if it is a neglible number
