I think they should expire eventually, but I’d extend it by another year or 6 months. But I don’t know the shit the team has to go through when it comes to this stuff, so I don’t know the best approach.

  • I dunno, I feel like maybe we’d be near Destiny 3 by then, and it would essentially defeat the purpose...? Could be wrong, though, depending on whether Bungie wants to try to extend D2 past that point, which I am all for.

  • They’re in it for the long run, currently. But they’ve said it themselves, they’ll have to move on to D3 eventually. Either that or the removal of D2 content.

  • To be honest though, D3 should have been a thing before this. I mean how far are we into this games life cycle now? They are having trouble keeping the game functioning as it is, yet they are still milking it. So why would we make this sort of change this late in the games life cycle? Only reason I can really think of is to continue to milk the game for more time than it should at this point. How many more years does this game really have with all its instability? That’s the real question here that should be answered. Light capping weapons isn’t going to solve any of this problem at all.
