There's a bunch of videos going around with a 'how to prepare for Shadowkeep' type of deal. Some of these are extremely harmless, others are straight up exploits. For example:
- filling up your inventory so every exotic engram you get you can save for Shadowkeep because they are sent to the postmaster.
- same thing like above but for legendary and prime engrams. (See link)
I'm curious to know if this is allowed by Bungie. Seems to me that this seveverely undermine the integrity of the expansion and it's progression. While I think the exotics are a bad offender of the integrity the legendary and prime exploit is what concerns me. There will be people hitting max light insanely quickly due to exploiting a game mechanic. Seems like a very unfair advantage for things like World First and just the game in general.
Also, this is by no means a call for band. Just seems sketchy to me and I'm curious if Bungie allows this.

Man, you dont need to hoard anything. They are raising the soft cap to 900, its gonna be a breeze to get there. The grind comes after 900.

4 RepliesIf someone is telling people to save up engrams, they're just telling people to waste their time. While the item in an engram is determined when it's opened, the power level is determined as soon as the engram drops, specifically to prevent engram hoarding. If anything, the exotic engrams might be able to drop new exotics if opened after Shadowkeep starts, but none of the engrams are going to be helping people increase their power.
