i have recently found during testing with my mates that sidearms are the only class of weapons that have 0, and i mean o bullet magnetism despite all of them having different aim assist values.
is this intended?
by the way, sidearms targeting perks aren't helping either.
is this acceptable?

All sidearms have an AA stat associated to them but it's likely only active in it's effective range. They are a close range weapons with severe damage fall off. Your vid is a fallacy because you're testing the Sidearm outside it's [u]effective range[/u]. That's why it's doing no damage (not hitting) on most of the shots. AA stats and mechanic include 'hit box registration'. At that range the hitbox is tiny for a Sidearm and larger for the Hand Cannons
