It’s cool and quirky, but I’m not here to see how YOUR guardians lore saved the universe by fighting the Kell of Kings in a chess match.
Please move it to community creations or the gallery.
Edit 1: Self bump need this to be an actual change
Edit 2: When 90% of top 5 trending has 1-2 fan fictions all the time it’s bothersome that occasionally there’s more fan fics than actual lore. So no I will not just ignore them. They need their own place that isn’t the lore forums.
Edit 3: A compromise could be to have a fan fiction forums all by itself. Idk what it would be called besides “fan fiction” or something like that.
Edit 4: Just to idk tone down the triggered people in my comments. I don’t hate the personal lore, but it doesn’t need to remain any longer in lore section. I’m trying to find things out like how Riven met Uldren or how possibly Shin Malphur was some kid that died at the age of 1. Not your guardian nipple twisting Atheons cousin in the time warp.

RingLeader77Thus we came forth to rebehold the stars - old
I want to make an effort to bridge the gap between our two trains of thought. Firstly thanks for not overtly insulting our writing like some do when they ask us to leave. So I am an admin of a group called Fan Fiction Unite, part of our goal is to gain enough members/followers so that we do not have to post our stuff on #lore. I totally understand that lore is for Lore and that what we make is based off lore. I cannot speak for all of us but I have heard several others echo my sentiments. 1. My first reason why I lost on Lore is that I saw great writers like Zapiro-4, Shadow, and Archival Mind. They were popular, everyone (mostly) greeted their work with open arms and everyone was happy. It looked like the place where fanfic was allowed. 2. Many people of the lore community (including a large chunk of the "popular" posters who I and everyone else likes) welcomed my and others stories. If I leave Lore now I am essentially losing those who liked my stories in the first place and taking it away from them possibly. 3. Community and Gallery are just a plane of Oblivion. I have never seen something there get over 3 up-votes except once when I tipped one up to a 5. The comments on these posts are scarce and are usually sent by friends, groupies, or clanmates. It is a place I would never want my work to end up if I can help it. So I propose a compromise: for my part (And fellow writers please support me on this) I will try my hardest to make the #gallery what it is meant to be. I already post most of my work on there at the same time as on lore. Also everyone please do not spam your fiction! It looks bad on lore, it is detrimental to your work's popularity, and is hard to keep up with. Also for my part i attempt to make at least twice as many lore posts as I do fanfic that way I can keep the Lore lore. As for your part of the compromise O reader mine: 1. please do not Insta-down vote all fanfic you see. Please only down-vote it if you really dislike the content (we can all admit there is a ton of bad stuff that passes for fanfic in the world. I feel that my work has been down voted because I am a relatively unknown fiction writer while other stories like Archival 's
shout out to the Mind himself if your reading, cheers!
don t seem to be down voted and are tolerated- which is great! Oh and uh down voting is may make some of us obstinate about leaving, I think that has happened some too. Please bear with us a little while longer while we try to tame and colonize the gallery. I believe it can be done, it just might take time (And lots of up-votes and comments- they are the lifeblood of fiction.) ******************************************************* I hope this helps bridge the gap. Peace on Lore and good will towards Eliksni. Cheers! Edit: sorry for the long response
