Did not play one month, logged in today and saw "account is banned" banner.
I did not cheating ever, have no cheating software installed, did not use in-game chat ever, and did not do any actions which can lead to permanent account ban.
I have a mining software installed. I have a vpn enabled off and on. But who cares? This is my PC. Tell me whats wrong and I can decide if I should delete the game or the soft marked as "prohibited".
If Bungie does not say why I was banned, how I can be sure that it will be not banned with same "reason" if I create a new account?
As for now they just stole my money.
This is bullshit.
btw, Overwatch is ok with my setup.

It really sucks because talking to Bungie is like talking to a wall.

I'm not sure what Overwatch has to do with anything. Bungie still runs the D2 servers. They obviously found something in order to issue a ban/suspension.

4 RepliesJust created another account on the same setup to see if it will be banned or not. If not - this ban system is totally piece of crap.

Account Bans and Restrictions Running third-party PC applications that are incompatible with Destiny 2 on PC may impact game performance or prevent the game from running properly. Bungie will not ban or restrict players for using common third-party applications such as Discord, XSplit, OBS, RTSS or other apps as outlined below. However, Bungie reserves the right to ban or restrict players that are using third-party applications to violate our Code of Conduct or the license agreement that governs Destiny as outlined in the Destiny Account Ban and Restrictions Policies. Bans and restriction are not applied automatically. Bungie reviews all possible violations before applying a ban or restriction to an account or device.

3 RepliesThis is my personal opinion. if your being banned for something that you did, you should be notified of the reason. even if its a blanket reason. I mean the software is picking this up when its scanning so its clearly aware of what its picked up. Blanket message saying DETECTED: XYZ that would be enough. Obviously, there are legit cheaters but then there are things that do not affect Destiny in the slightest. People do not read the T7C's they dont read about stuff like this its human nature. This to me is draconian. If your going to ban people, fine but at least notify them of the reason this is being done. Its not hard to implement before you say it is hard.... Its just lazy. Thanks my opinion anyway

2 RepliesEdited by Rafiki: 6/18/2018 8:00:46 PMDear Guardian, Bungie’s policy strictly states that they do not discuss/dispute/overturn these decisions and that they created an ample case against you that gives them the right to ban/restrict. For information regarding Bans and Restrictions, please read below: https://www.bungie.net/Mobi/en/About/Article?id=11929 For an in depth conversation regarding PC bans and software, please read below: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/246376140/0/0

Tell me whats wrong and I can decide if I should delete the game or the soft marked as "prohibited".
Yeah... that's not going to happen. If your software breaks their rules, they are not a petty girlfriend and give you an ultimatum, "it's us or them" they are going to enforce their rules. D2 detects what is running at the time d2 is running and if it is even a possible threat to d2, it sends the notice to SRT to confirm and enforce. Typically, pc bans are due to software detected by Destiny 2 while running. These include but not limited to, trainers, aimbots, autofire, mods, graphics hacks, anything that injects code into games, debuggers for programing, even some viruses. any of these could cause a ban, even if not destiny 2 specific.

2 RepliesTry not cheating next time.

4 RepliesThanks to the people on this thread who gave detailed explanations as to why this person was banned. These forums totally need well informed people like you lot to put these miscreants in their place. You’d think if he was innocent he would’ve been grateful for the advice.
