Good evening everybody! This is Aifos coming to you alive from Seattle with none other than everybody's favorite angel commanding/demon slaying super nerd-! Uh.. Where's Eugene?
Oh, a call? Never showed up? Stage fright? Oh.. Okay..
Papika: "Ooh! Can I bea guest star instead!?"
No, you're security.
Papika: "Awww.."
Anyway, on with the topic.
I may be a bit late to the party, but I just finished InFamous: Second Son, and it's DLC/spinoff, InFamous: First Light! I have come with a generic question of what power is your favorite & why! Hm.. Maybe I should've saved that for the tl;dr..
Anyhow, in InFamous SS you absorb powers, giving you 4 total. Each has a focus, and its own uses, but since the only way to switch is to find a source of that power, usually you end up sticking with your favorite, only switching in emergencies, when a refill of the partocular one you want isn't nearby. This is especially a problem with Video; who's sources are few & far between, and utilized a style that (for me at least) took more power.
In First Light, seeing as how you play as Fetch, you only have Neon, but it was changed to fit the "only power" role, making it more versatile, while still keeping the original feel.
Tl;dr? Here's my point!
I have come to you with a generic question of "what is your favorite power & why?"!
My answer:
Definitely Neon. The real question is which Neon.
Fetch definitely has more mobility with her air dashes, and if an enemy gets too close her Finishers & faster melee make it easy to hold them off. The weak points being randomized was a nice touch, and adds to the fun.
On the flip side, Delsin can heal by Subduing an enemy, and more useful Stasis bubbles. Other than that he doesn't have much going for him. Worse run, worse secondary, worse heavy, and worse (but much cooler) ultimate.
I'd say Fetch's Neon, myself.
2 RepliesThe question is Did you kill Hank?
-
I used smoke as much as possible when it came to killing things. Neon for movement.
-
The video powers were absolutely liberating to me. You can cover so much ground relaying off those satellite dishes. Neon was a close second.
-
1 ReplyIf only the OG Lightning was on the list... I just started Second Son and I don't even have Neon yet so...
-
Truth be told, i love them all, but nothing beats electricity
-
Neon Never been fond of pink, but this was a major exception.
-
3 RepliesWhy only from those games? Nothing in Second Son can compare to Infamous 2, in my opinion. I suppose it wouldn't make sense to choose one power in that game, though, given how important it is to combine them.
Something which definitely should've been in the sequel.
Out of this list, I have to pick Smoke. I kept switching back to it after I got bored of the shiny new powers. If Concrete was actually fleshed out, I'd probably choose it. What was in the game was really good, but it's missing so many features.

Delsin Neon, for me. Definitely had the most fun there. Though, I've had First Light since it came out and I still haven't played it
-
1 ReplyVideo on max evil rank is broken as -blam!-, infinite invisibility backstabs.
-
Neon is the only correct answer
-
5 RepliesIf concrete had been more exstensive it would have been better but i would have to go with fetch neon
-
6 RepliesSmoke was the one that felt most fleshed out. The thing I didn't like about the powers in SS is that there were too many and they were basic. There were also way too many locomotion powers that made parkour useless.
-
2 RepliesI found Delsin's neon to have some of the better mobility and survivability. Running up a building is always faster than climbing, and sniping a man in stasis into some neon cuffs made for good sources of health. Of course, I still need to play First Light.

4 RepliesSmoke powers.
