Not just the US. See: Brexit.

Lol. Idiocracy is a documemtary

I agree. Especially since academia has been taken over by anti-intellectuals.

You have one side that calls everyone that disagrees with them racist/sexist/bigoted and another side that got sick and tired of being called racist/sexist/bigoted. The people calling names started it. It's up to the ones being called the names to be the bigger people and shut them down and not fall into the trap of stooping down to the other sides level. Very few people think logically in this country anymore. It's all about how they feel which is idiotic.

Idiocracy!

President Camacho!

Exactly.
electrolytes
I just argued with someone who thinks our corporate America is the perfect system and everyone is taken care of. He attempted to explain that it makes sense why life saving medicine is so expensive. I couldn't even argue with him. I just don't think anything I could say would make sense to him.

The amount of disinformation dwarfs any true attempts at objectivity. We are seeing the results of that.

I see shit everyday that makes me just not want to live on this planet. The most recent is the catch me outside girl is now being given a show, to influence lots of young and is now rich. So the bad kid is being rewarded in ways that adults aren't. And I just can't even. I just don't want to see this shit anymore.

It's very depressing.

For the moment. Fear is a strong motivator. As for wilful ignorance... well, I gotta go eat.

It's a constant battle.

Let's hope it turns around.

I'm sure the current situation is a great motivator.
