You lot moaned about specials dominating and wanted primarys to be better. You got what you all wished for.

We just wanted a blanket primary buff, didnt get that and got a stupid special ammo nerf instead. I use my primary as much as the next guy but I dont think you should be forced to use a primary- wrong way to go about doing things imo.
-
Edited by PhantomBrown: 2/9/2017 4:28:20 PMThat's the exact same thing as saying to end world debt why don't they just print lots of money. It doesn't work, they have to try and balance, otherwise we'd be in a call of duty situatation where all primarys kill too fast. Also you seem to have missed the fact that special spawns every 60 seconds, that's roughly 10 times a game with roughly 8 special boxes available across the maps.
-
2 words- Year One. Perfect balance between specials and primaries. Bungie and apparently some people in this forum still havent learned that you dont fix this by nerfing specials or ammo, theyve tried both of these things before and they dont work. Buff primaries! Literally that simple.
-
It wasn't balanced at all, fusions were dominant and primary weapons were all over the place. I think you suffer from rose tinted glasses syndrome.
-
Edited by Riv3rMon5ters: 2/9/2017 4:40:28 PMSorry referring to HoW meta. Literally just had to bump down thorn and last word and bring up autos a bit and boom- perfect meta. And shot package remove that shit.
-
See even as you are going you are remembering things that were unbalanced. It's not as easy as you think Is it...
-
That's literally all they needed to nerf though- just a few heavy hitters.
-
Red death and bad juju, pocket infinity. Final round snipers. All of those also needed adjustments too.
-
Final Found snipers yes- the other two mentioned were fine.
-
Bad juju and red death were terrible, they had buffs to help. Like I said it isn't as easy as you claim it to be.
-
Lol Red Death was a good weapon- and bad juju wasnt bad. Both were just overshadowed by the exotic HCs. Anyway I've gotten off topic and need to wrap this up. Nerfing specials has gotten us nowhere- buffing primaries is where this patch should have gone.
-
That happened. Again you can't judge it till we've had a chance to play.
-
Autos were the only primaries which got a significant buff
-
You weren't paying attention, hand canons got a massive buff and so did slow rate of fire pulses, scouts didn't really need anything.
-
YOU werent paying attention. Handcannons have increased initial accuracy BUT decreased final accuracy. This is bad especially for TLW. Those pulses got their fire rate slightly increased yes, but the damage remains the same. So you are still realistically looking at a 3 burst kill 99% of the time which will still be a slower TTK than all other pulses. So yea- only real primary buff was to autos.
-
Edited by PhantomBrown: 2/9/2017 8:49:54 PMI don't give a crap about the last word, I hate that weapon with a passion. It goes against everything the weapon is all about. Did you watch them hip firing? It was hilarious, thats not how it's supposed to work given that all of it perks are built around hip firing. Other hand canons shown looked incredibly effective and that's what I've always loved playing crucible with (I'm not great by any means but I have the most fun with hand canons). There was also one pulse, can't remember which but it definitely 2 burst killed. 100%
-
Yes it was probably parthian shot- if you land 6 headshots it will 2 burst, but good luck with that in the heat of battle. And btw the same was true all along the damage has not changed. And the last word is an awesome weapon one of the most unique in destiny. Sad that they have to nerf all the cool guns. But having decreased final accuracy will negatively impact all handcannons. No more spamming the trigger, which you have to do to get the optimal TTK. So yea that sounds more like a nerf than a buff to me.
-
It's not unique at all, it's like every fast firing pistol in any game. Borderlands has thousands of them. Can't get on board with what you are saying dude sorry.
-
Lmao ok name another automatic handcannon in destiny that you twirl around your finger like a badass...
-
It's not automatic. It's fan fire, 2 very different things. The first curse, far better weapon that actually is true to its own perks and how it was built.
-
"It's not automatic. It's fan fire, 2 very different things." Ummm... Yea ok you might need to lay off the meds bro. Seriously possibly the most retarded thing I've ever seen on this forum- and that's sayin a lot.
-
Edited by PhantomBrown: 2/9/2017 11:41:28 PMAutomatic means holding down the trigger. BTW I'm reporting that last comment, I got banned for using the word retarded.
-
You made a stupid comment and I called you on it. Listen I know this game has only been out for 2 and a half years, but when you hold down the RT button when you have the last word equipped- it keeps firing! Shhh dont tell anyone, we gotta keep this hidden gem to ourselves.
-
I wanted primaries to be more reliable. Special weapons that didn't need adjusting such as the chaperone or fusion rifles are going to be seriously hurt by this patch for no reason
-
Eh? How do you work that out? What's different about the chaperone (which barely anyone uses btw) and fusions?
