Top Tier OP Meta Man Armsday Report.

Top Tier OP Meta Man, reporting on Armsday. This week our local gunsmith got some packages for flawless Arminius-D's and Lyudmilla-D's. Hakke really came through for us! Unfortunately most everything else is probably not worth your time, and Lyudmilla probably still sucks. Arminius-D Scopes: For CQB you have GB Iron which obscures vision via metal prongs near the reticle, but at least it's not the post sights. I call that a win. You also get the LC Ranged scope which increases zoom and range but slightly obscures view and disorients the user via neon green lines that only turn on when you ADS, as well as the general thickness of the scope. It's not as bad overall, though. No handling penalty, either! Nothing beats my beloved Red Dot-OES, but for Hakke sights, these are really nice. Crowd Control: A+ After a kill, the weapon kills with 2 less rounds, decreasing overall TTK by 0.13s from 0.8-1.0s to 0.67-0.87s. The weapon's large magazine, fast RoF, and above average DPS are ideal for making this perk work. Since the TTK decrease is only a fraction of a second and the weapon still kills slower than TLW, it may very well have no real consequence in battle even if you DO get the faster kill. Which is very, VERY bad. Crowd Control is therefore not powerful or game changing but it's actually the ideal perk for this slot, for lack of better options. It's better for multi-kills but the long term benefits of Persistence present a question. Do you want more damage or accuracy? Beware that you can only get Persistence + Counterbalance on Doctrine of Passing. Crowd Control is definitely superior for PvE though. Counterbalance: A+ Makes the recoil manageable. Critical perk. There's still a very minor left pull but since targets strafe you'll be adjusting your aim anyway and you probably won't notice it. Braced Frame: A+ Makes the gun not recoil all over the place. Critical perk. Final Verdict: God roll. At least on par with the still-sexier Doctrine of Passing (adept), and superior for PvE. Woe to any who didn't hold on to an Arminius package for this fateful week. Lyudmilla-D Scopes: SC Holo/LD Watchdog. Nothing to block your reticles, but no red-dots that I love. Decent scopes. I'm not a HUGE fan of the LD Watchdog because it looks a bit weird but it has never given me problems on my previous Arminius. Headseeker: A+ The only decent and therefore ideal perk for this slot. Makes sense since you can't even max stability. Drive it up into the head! Counterbalance: A+ Makes the recoil manageable. Critical perk. Hand-Laid Stock: A+ Makes the gun not recoil all over the place. Critical perk. Final Verdict: God roll. SUROS ARI-41 The 2nd roll has the ideal High-Caliber Rounds and Hand-Laid Stock. Your gun will have basically no range and crappy handling but dreamy recoil, large magazine, and disgusting stagger capabilities. Unfortunately the Take a Knee perk ruins everything IMO. Final Verdict: This gun is worth considering if you don't mind Take a Knee. Tuonela SR4 Since Hung Jury is already the ultimate PvE scout, we want a PvP roll that does something other than just being full auto like the recent SUROS DIS-43. The 3rd roll has Hand-Laid Stock and Zen Moment but it's hampered by the bottom tier Triple Tap perk. It won't give you the edge you need. I'd stay away. SUROS DIS-47 No Full Auto; no go. Uzume RR4 It's easy to get a great role, and these roles aren't great. Hold on to your package. Kumakatok HC4 Option 2 is interesting with Rifled Barrel, Mulligan, and Outlaw. Consider it. Too boring for me; I'd prefer something like Zen Moment and Icarus. It's far from the worst rolls though. SUROS PDX-45 Roll 2 has Perfect Balance, Hidden Hand, and Smallbore. This will give you a small boost to range and aim assist and max your stability, but at a cost to reload and magazine. I consider Smallbore a bottom tier perk since it barely helps your stats while hurting your already-small magazine, but some might like this roll. Roll 3 has High-Caliber Rounds, Full Auto, and Rifled Barrel. HC rounds on this PR will create highly desirable flinch patterns, Full Auto works well with the high RoF so your finger can relax as you stagger 'n' slay, and Rifled Barrel gives you an excellent range boost without hurting your important stats. A mixed bag of high tier perks. Maybe buy? I'd prefer High-Caliber Rounds or Hammer Forged with Hand-Laid stock, so I'm holding onto my package. Recommended Packages SUROS ARI-41 (balanced auto rifle): Can be a MONSTER with the right perks. SUROS JLB-47 (high impact rocket launcher): Can be a MONSTER with the right perks. Ammo inventory is kinda shitty but 2 rockets is all you need (if you have 1337 rocket skillz). SUROS DIS-43 (rapid scout rifle): Can be FUN and forgiving with the right perks. Doesn't look competitive but worth picking up. BONUS IRON BANNER VENDOR GUIDE Chances are you want INT/DIS on all your gear because otherwise you have fewer grenades and supers while you'll always have a decent base melee even with 0 STR. MOST melee abilities don't justify STR builds. The exceptions are Scorch spammers (may as well be a Bladedancer), Smoke spammers, 1337 knife users, and the mildly pointless Force Barrier build (uses 1/2 your stats, your exotic slot, requires shotgun finesse, and probably performs similar to Juggernaut shield). Also, grenade throw distance is just vastly superior to melee speed, being useful 364% more often. Therefore... Chest piece is good for all classes! Gloves are only good for the Hunter. Hand cannon is bad. Any drop from just playing is likely to be superior. LMG is decent and worth looking at. Spray and Play is great for PvE, but will see little use in PvP. Accurized Ballistics, Hand-Laid Stock, and Crowd Control are good for everything. 4 bodyshot kill with A.B., 2 headshot + 1 bodyshot kill with Crowd Control active. Hand-Laid Stock will harm your accuracy but I recommend it because: A) Unless you're going for a quick CC headshot kill, you don't really need high accuracy. B) The other options are terrible, giving you almost no benefits or reducing stability. The hit to range is probably worth it, but remember to get a little closer to your targets.
