So I got halo 5 when it first came out and I hated it, so I stopped playing. I'm willing to give it another try but I have no idea what I'm getting into. How TF dose the "REQ" system work and why dose it keep telling me I need to play 10 games to be ranked when I'm already rank 4?

Your easiest and non-skill progression based rank is your SR or Spartan Rank. That's what is telling you you are level 4. In Arena, most of the playlists are ranked playlists. Meaning that you are matched based on skill and are assigned a CSR (Competitive Skill Rank) after completing 10 matches. Hope this helps.

For every ranked playlist you need to play 10 qualifying matches to be placed in a division (diamond, onyx, champion, etc.) Look up the halo 5 requisitions explanation video on the main Xbox channel on YouTube. It does a very good job explaining it.
