I bet most (or some) of us don't really like the look of faction class items and prefer IB, ToO or blue ones.
There should be other ways to earn faction rep without having to use their class item.
If you don't agree with earning rep by emblems, do you have better suggestions?
I'm all ears

1 ReplyEdited by King Crimson: 7/17/2015 4:54:42 PMMake it like iron banner. Shader/emblem/item all give rep. 1 on gives you the base rep gain 2 on adds a % buff 3 on adds a % buff
-
Should be emblem and or class item so you can choose
-
I think we should get rep for the daily missions
-
2 RepliesI don't care either way but I've always thought if you do the bounties in patrol and its a "Dead Orbit wants intel from here" or whatever, if you use that class item you should get some extra rep for doing their dirty work. Maybe even same for Crucible, you can earn extra 5 or 10 rep for completing and maybe extra 3 marks for winning the round. Wearing class item and/or armor from a faction should give you some bonus in the game type supported by that faction. Thoughts?
-
Why not both? Also throw in guns and armor for even more rep.
-
You should just go talk to the faction and ally with them, so I can wear whatever mark I want.
-
Or let us bond whatever class emblem we want to a faction.
-
Hell no, I want to wear the better looking emblems.
-
I go for the FWC because the armour is Intellect and Discipline and the weapons ain't to bad.
-
at the end of the day its to much grind for a mote of light
-
Yes I've been saying this forever, we have all these cool class items but we have to just wear the one we're trying to the shader from, after 20 ranks of wearing the stupid dead orbit bond and no shader I'm sick of it
-
What's the difference? Can you not afford a bond?

Edited by WhatHityou: 7/17/2015 4:34:09 PMPersonally I would rather it just be a UI choice. I mean I really don't like having to ruin my main forms of customisation. Not to mention lore wise, ALL the factions are secretive and probably wouldn't want you wearing their faction emblem while running errands for them. You might give away their movements to achieve their political agenda. They all keep there movements hush hush, why don't we?
-
But then emblem has to stay too. F that. Like others said just make your faction selectable without wearing anything and turn it off when you want a different one
-
Why wear anything at all? Why can't we just go and say "okay I'm signing up for dead orbit" I hate the class items because basically if I want the shaders I have to sacrifice any cool class items making them pointless. Same with emblems sometimes I like the way an emblem looks. If I beat a raid in the first day I want to show off the emblem, you get me?
-
Maybe both but they don't stack. More options as to how you level it up
-
3 RepliesI think you should get extra rep for wearing shaders/emblem like iron banner
-
1 ReplySo like IB? Wear the emblem, shader and class item you get a reply boost. I'm down for it
-
Or maybe both? Think before you post
-
Yes! And the higher rarity emblem you have the more of an increase to rep gain! Which is fillet her boosted by having a rep class item!
-
I think it should be both
-
2 RepliesThen how do you get the emblem if you need atleast rank 1?
-
Why don't they remove the patrols, and give every faction it's missions, only that you have to run it daily, and only one faction is active per day.
-
Better yet, ghost skins. Or regular shaders. Since I'm quite fond of the DO shaders.
-
3 RepliesHow bout if you wear the emblem and shader it gives you triple rep. Each emblem gives a different amount of rep. The 3 rank required ones give you the most while the lower rank emblem the less. Sound good? Reduces grind and actually makes the rewards possible to get without spending another year at it
-
Yeah I like this.....I would like to wear whatever class item I want. Using the emblems just seems like common sense. I would much rather be wearing my shattered vault, or queens guard cloaks, than my shitty dead orbit one.
