The Ram provides warlocks extra armor. Because of that, they can survive things other classes cannot, including even a golden gun shot. Now, last time I checked, Titans are supposed to be the "tank" class of destiny no? Why do the warlocks, who already get ranged melees, ranged supers, self resurrection, and blink, among other tricks, get the extra armor? Shouldn't the Titan get the extra armor? After all, many Titan abilities require you to get very close to your opponent and they cannot blink. Then there is also the bubble, Titans REALLY need extra armor for that to be of any use, because purple bubble becomes purple super attractor.
So, why do Warlocks get the extra armor exotic, but not Titans? Did Bungie forget Titans were the heavy armor tank class?
Let me add this point in about the Ram though: It boosts your armor in iron banner and trials of osiris, but I do not know if it makes any kind of difference inside regular crucible.
Edit: Ok, after reading all of the comments, apparently being able to survive a golden gun shot depends on the distance of the shooter. This is because golden gun has a damage drop off, something I was not previously aware of.

5 RepliesAnd if the Titan had this exotic someone would be arguing that the hunter or warlock should have it.
-
The ram is an exotic helmet the only warlocks can equip. That's why they have it.
-
3 RepliesThe Ram - doesnt change anything when i put a longbow shot up their ass
-
Why do titans get the their exotics, why do hunters get theirs?
-
3 RepliesTo be honest all they need to do is change the titan melee on the defender to be on hit instead of on kill problem solved
-
I totally agree. It's definitely something a titan should have. It doesn't even remotely look like something a damn warlock would wear, it suits the titan way better.
-
4 RepliesThe Ram only provides an additional 20 hp. I don't think it's worth everyone flipping out over. I'm not saying it's a bad exotic, it's good. But it's nothing to go crazy over in my book.
-
Iono, it could simply have been because of the theme, magic(Warlock) and satanism (Ram). Maybe Titans can get "The Rhino." An exotic that will stun even majors with a shoulder charge.
-
I'm not complaining about the ram or warlocks, but it honestly is weird that warlocks get the armour bonus on the ram instead of the titans getting it on the helmet that provides unstoppable... Just odd.
-
It's just crazy wiz biz man
-
THey've started adding two perks for each exotic so they need to revise all the previous ones and buff them because the ram is ridiculous. Why did they feel the need to increase armour??? on top of regen ???????????????
-
Ram works in regular crucible too, used a 300 preidyths revenge sniper on a warlock using it, two consecutive body shots later, he was still kicking. That upset me quite a bit.
-
8 RepliesProbably because warlocks tend to die a lot. It should be nerfed though
-
Because it's a warlock helm...
-
Because bungie's favorite children are warlocks, hand cannons and shotguns. Everyone knows this.
-
2 RepliesI don't have "The Ram" yet but I've been wondering: does the armor boost stack with the armor boost from the POE chest piece? (Extra armor v.s. a specific type of enemy I.e fallen) I have to imagine that would be awesome in the Skolas fight, the boost with the POE gear alone is pretty substantial.
-
I'm sure you're aware by now, but just in case: it adds armour, as a stat, not defense. Thus, it does work in crucible.
-
Bump. Unfortunately, not many people main titan, so of course many people will disagree with you. Being a tank was supposed to be the Titan's specialty; now we can't even have that. Titans really got the short end of the stick. Gg Bungie on balancing the classes.
-
You're complaining about shoulder charge not being op?
-
......the title of this thread seems sort of......sexual?
-
Edited by Progo: 7/8/2015 1:54:02 PMI agree OP, something needs to be done.
-
Because REASONS!! -Mr. Torgue
-
How so they get extra armor?
-
Coz warlock... Nuff said ;)

3 RepliesWarlocks were always being carried and would always die first. So bungie felt that they had to do something about it and broke the game!
jk about bungie but on a serious note: damn warlocks! :-)
Bungie loves Warlocks.
