The hunter Gunslinger exploit should be a bannable offence because the play is knowingly use a bug, glitch, whatever you want to call it to gain and advantage over the other players in game. To me that the definition of cheating therefor bannable.
Edit: This community is one of the worst communities ever. "Oh let use the broken game mechanic to our advantage because we suck at the game and can't play legit because we are horrible people"

6 RepliesBlows my mind that there are actual people out there that think people should be banned for throwing/spamming grenades. Guess we should start banning the Titans with two lighting grenades next.
-
3 RepliesDid anyone see banana or is it just me?
-
8 RepliesWhether it should or shouldn't be, it won't be, because it isn't on Bungies list of bannable issues.
-
We know the reason you like swarm grenade donkey and those who said no are hunters ha.
-
2 RepliesIt's destiny's fault that this is happening if you have a strategy that will make you win then you're going to use it, it's common sense.

3 RepliesI don't care abt mostly harmless exploits. I don't care abt this either, outside of Trials. This exploit has the potential to be game breaking to a skilled player...granted, most skilled players wouldn't do this, I'd hope. I haven't seen it in Trials too much. But I wanted to see the effectiveness of it. I can't personally do it, I need to remake my hunter & level her to 20 first. But I had a friend try it out in Trials. He had a golden gun every round. Would pop it on spawn into the air, & by the end of the round, would have another one. or very close to one. granted, he's a very good player. It's not easy to take advantage of it to that extent regularly. your nades need to be perfect & there's always other factors also. It's something that needs to be taken care of. a team w. One hunter taking advantage of the exploit would be very hard to beat. Even w. 2 other mediocre players.

2 RepliesEdited by Duplo Waffles: 6/15/2015 1:12:03 AMI like how you aren't responding to anyone calling you out on using guns with glitches perks that give you an unfair advantage over others.
-
I don't know enough about the glitch to vote. Do you just throw a swarm grenade and it fills your super automatically when they explode? If so then that is seriously broken but I think it needs immediate fix, not banning. Imagine if you pulled out your Shadow Price just for kicks and in the ToO it started doing one hit kills. Later you find out that It's because you had your secondary weapon as a sniper with last round and it causes a wierd glitch. Then you get banned for glitching. That wouldn't be right. So you don't get banned, word gets around about the glitxh, and everyone starts doing it. Well, if the first person shouldn't be banned neither should anyone else. But Bungie should FIX THE BROKEN MECHANIC RIGHT AWAY! Which they don't. If we are lucky it will get fixed on Tuesday after ToO is over. Or maybe next tuesday. Or maybe 5 Tuesdays from now. If you exploit it you suck. But Bungie sucks more for not having it fixed already.

2 RepliesAs a bladedancer hunter, I don't care. If you dumb enough to get caught by that grenade then it's on you.
-
maybe I can get a 10000 score in control with this
-
4 RepliesThis is stupid. They can't and shouldn't ban someone for using items in game effectively. That's like saying I should be banned in WoW for using armor and weapons that strengthen each other when used together. Sounds like a bunch of wining to me.
-
2 RepliesAm I missing something here? What glitch/exploit is this?
-
1 ReplyDon't worry about it. Honestly with as much bad press it is getting, I'm sure Bungie will patch it. The good news is, ToO isn't a limited time event, and thus there will be many many more chances of you getting to where you want to be once this is resolved.
-
14 RepliesYou sir, are illogical. Bungie screws up their code, people use broken code, people get banned? At most it'll be patched. That's like wanting to ban the people who use the heavy ammo glitch for Hard Crota.
-
it's cheesy and cheap. but, you can't ban people for using in game mechanics. it goes against the mission statement of gaming in general and definitely what bungie has said in the past. it needs to be patched, that's bungies job
-
So what if Swarm grenades are your thing? Are you just supposed to not use them until Bungie finally patches it? Or are you supposed to buy a whole new set of armor because they borked the code? If the same thing happened to my Mirv grenades on the Warlock, there is no way in he'll I'd stop using them.

Uhh no, for one it is Neither a Bug, Glitch, Exploit, etc It was an implementation flaw neither is it a ban-able offense for the simple fact that if it was then all hunters who previously used a swarm grenade ever should be banned by that logic and thats just not going to happen. This flaw has been around since Ashes to Assets has been in the game (which iirc is from launch). They aren't going to ban people for it even if they are "doing it to get an unfair advantage" one almost everyone should have all three character types if you made 3 of the same or even 2 of the same trying to improve your chances to get good armor you are a stooge. two since you should have one of each character type you can just switch to your hunter, equip armor with ashes to assets and go enjoy moderately fast supers the only way it is "instant" is if you have a specific exotic armor piece and another ashes to assets armor piece, you can only get ashes to assets on two slots. and more than likely they will only either fix the perk for the exotic piece or swap it with something else, the perk on regular legendary gear even with the swarm grenade bug does not give you instant super, its almost not even noticeable.

I only found out about the this Hunter ability like mid last week. And I say hints of it in the forum and had to find a youtube video that accurately showed what the Perk did. If someone doesn't use the forums or youtube when playing Destiny cause it's not like you need tips on how to beat enemies. (This isn't dark souls) But my point would be the forums/youtube community for Destiny are probably the minority of their player base. So there could be plenty of people who don't know about the "glitch" something like pushing atheon off or crotas bad knee were obvious exploits. This one is minor and doesn't alter the game and only really affects a small portion of it. No ban needed.

It's a perk just like the sunsinger one hit mele

No. You're going to say something but understand nor all of us knew it. I have the iron banner hunter helmet with guess what Ashes to Asset. How the -blam!- war i supposed to know you'd think what bungie made us earn and buy, this was back when it was 7000 glimmer, why do you think i should be banned??? No. You're going to say something but understand nor all of us knew it. I have the iron banner hunter helmet with guess what Ashes to Asset. It is a broken mechanic. Bungie should JUST FIX IT. I don't use it, and I don't support it.
-
4 RepliesSo you never BXRed on halo?
-
7 RepliesCalls other people horrible at PVP, has absolutely no other game mode played besides control... It may be a dirty tactic but it shouldn't be a bananble offense, it's in the game and it's been around for a while. Swarm grenades are easy enough to avoid that if you feed someone a super that quick well it's your fault
-
30 RepliesIt SHOULD be....but itd NOT its not a bug or a glitch....its a game mechanic bungie very poorly put in the game. Ashes to Assets stacks per armor piece Scatter grenade breaks into many pieces Ashes to assests says "doing damage with a grenade increases super energy" The problem is that EACH PIECE of the scatter grenade registers as its own grenade. Thats a shitty mechanic bungie put in the game. So instead of doing damage with 1 grenade the gsme thinks the landed 5-8 grenades....its a real cheap move. Technically not cheating or bannabble

You will continue getting hate messages from the people who are clearly using this exploit. Don't pay attention to those idiots. No one wants this exploit in the game except cheaters. It's like a holiday for them. This is the first time they've been able to get wins in PVP. Tuesday they will likely have to go back to actually killing players to get super energy back. Trials of Osiris is broken. For proof of how broken it is watch this video. Go to 2:00 of the video. This is a Hunter getting his super in ROUND 1 of Trials of Osiris. http://youtu.be/6wBpbI4OGCk

6 RepliesIt's not a bannable offence because it's something that's been around since the start. Just stay away from swarm grenades and if you trigger them then run like hell. Should people be banned from crucible for using the titan bubble exploit? No. If you play smart and outsmart your opponent.
