The hunter Gunslinger exploit should be a bannable offence because the play is knowingly use a bug, glitch, whatever you want to call it to gain and advantage over the other players in game. To me that the definition of cheating therefor bannable.
Edit: This community is one of the worst communities ever. "Oh let use the broken game mechanic to our advantage because we suck at the game and can't play legit because we are horrible people"

2 RepliesIf there was on out map glitch caused by coding where you can kill and be completely safe (God Spot) you would be cheating how is this any different?
-
The point is now moot.
-
Im gonna use helm and swarm grenades whenever I want. I use them to shut paths/doors down in ToO. If you idiots run intk the sparkley things then thank for super energy. Shit is very much avoidable.
-
Removed, no longer stack and run on cool down.
-
This glitch is not an advantage over other players. It is very inconsistent and the grenades themselves suck. You are using an in game item and an in game grenade. You cant force someone not to use items at their disposal.
-
Wtf are you babbling on about? You lost? Ok I have 32 hunter 32 titan and both of them get killed by sh*t that I've never even heard of by all classes I've never cried about it.. so grab some tissues and head back down to mommy's basement and try again

Edited by BannedMythicAccount: 6/15/2015 4:49:29 PMNo it shouldn't be a bannable offense. It should just get fixed and people can move on. The more witch-hunting publicity of swarm grenades and without punishment to those players, the more inclined people are to learn about it and do it themselves. It's still not very effective for many players in the PvP realm despite its hyper exaggeration on these boards. But it just needs a fix that's all. I can see how my point helped support your case but in the bigger picture it doesn't, allocating resources to hunt and ban players vs just fixing it back to its intended use is more productive in the long run.

If you think "were' the worst community" because we don't think players should get banned for a coding error that is getting patched TODAY, they I think you need to reconsider your outlook on life. Also, this tactic is really only successful on bad players, so everyone who complains about how OP it is probably just can't handle themselves in the crucible.

Hmmmm. Sun singer 'nades have WAY too much tracking. I think I'll report him for killing me
pussy
It's not bannable because it's more of a glitch and unbalance than an exploit. It'd be like making the original Vex usage (the one where it still fires crazy fast, but it's a 3 body shot kill) a bannable offense. Lag switching and manipulating the network for nefarious means? Bannable. Making use of an internal bug/glitch that Bungie goofed on? Not bannable, but poor sportsmanship, and one that I don't do.
-
not bannable. I inly use it in PVE anyway
-
1 ReplyHaven't played my Hunter since before this became publicly known. Ran swarm grenades. Checked my gear and lo-and-behold the helmet I have on has Ashes to Asset. Cool, I had to change to trip mines so i don't get reported/spammed hate messages should I choose to use my Hunter. Bunch of BS if you ask me.
-
Not bannable, don't walk through the grenade, maybe bungie should also fix their game
-
1 ReplyYes, its bannable, however there are people who are reporting just for the loadout. Which isnt right.
-
I was wondering why I've been running into scatter grenades so often lately.
-
4 RepliesI can't for the life of me understand why all these friggen idiots think it's perfectly acceptable thing to do and not a serious game breaking problem to be able to have a super every round by simply throwing your grenade at the wall.
-
1 ReplyI find it funny that people even think this is debatable. No, the thing is not a bannable offense. It never will be. It will be patched when Bungie gets around to it.
-
7 RepliesHow is it different from the 4 Titan/Alpha Lupi "Exploit"? Or BJJ and OM with Voidwalkers?
-
Dude I barely see this used at all! Even when I do I know how to avoid a scatter grenade.
-
Fail poll
-
Screw guns, I only Use swords
-
2 RepliesIt's just taking advantage of something that Bungie did wrong. I get what you mean because it's cheap, but it's similar to saying Cheesing in PvP should be bankable. Plus the glitch only really works effectively if you get the killing blow with one of the first grenades to hit your enemy.
-
1 ReplyYour tears taste so fuking good.
-
Being a crybaby, banable offense? YES YES
-
I'm just hoping that Bungie will fix this glitch asap and prevent it from re-emerging.
-
2 RepliesIt's not a bannable offense because people who use swarm grenades will be unjustly banned. Why anyone would use them instead of trip mines is beyond me. But the glitch should be fixed because of the swarm grenades hits counting as kills. It's a cheap and quick way to get supers. I don't see why anyone would support something that is broken.
