I've been playing Destiny for seven consecutive years now, I absolutely love this game. When I heard that cross play was finally being added I was ecstatic being that I have many friends I haven't been able to play with. While cross play is incredible it's also complete crap that PC players cannot opt out of it. I've been trying to play trials all weekend and all I've been greeted with is the worst connection I've ever experienced. It's not on my end it's all of the console players I'm being put up against. I've had enemies lag out of a sniper headshot and with this bad connection it takes ten years to register that I'm even shooting them. I had an enemy rushing me with a shotgun so I started laying into him with my bow. The first shot hit. The second shot hit but didn't register until after he slid, pulled the trigger and then meleed me. If you think about how long it takes to actually complete all of those actions that is a ridiculous amount of registering time for an attack, ESPECIALLY in the most competitive game mode. Cross play should absolutely not be required for trials and the fact that PC players don't even have the option to opt out is absolutely ludicrous.
