When opening Destiny 2, it seems perfectly normal up until it tries to load the character select screen. The screen freezes, and I cannot click away to anything else. Sometimes, an error window will pop up saying to run a scan of my local files. I've done so, only to be told there is no problem. I've seen a few solutions to this online, but none have helped. Particularly, I do not have a steam_appid.txt file in my Destiny folder. I've both done a search for it and checked the locations suggested. I've updated my drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled Destiny 2, but nothing has even remotely changed the issue. I believe the problem started roughly 5 months ago, and before that I could play the game perfectly fine without any issues. I feel dumb for not being able to figure out what the problem is, or how to fix it, but if anyone knows of a solution please let me know.
