Sunsetting peoples hard work is sunsetting this franchise

Let me be clear, ive not always been the biggest fan of destiny. I choked down D1 in its entirety and griped about many an issue. D2 has thrown me off twice, with me coming back each time. For its faults, it still has a pull to it. While mostly indescribable, one factor is looking back at what you've done and what you have to show for it. All these exotic quests take time, all the pinnacle challenges can eat a day or more, getting that one sweet set of armor you like thats only a rng drop is gonna take more than an afternoon.
But you'll still be able to use it...
like the Vex Mythoclast near the end of D1? Being able to use something, doesn't mean its got use. Saying I can use my wing contender armor while I strike is like saying you can wear pajamas while you mow the lawn, its a tedious task most times whose only purpose is to fill reqs/kill time. And crucible? Its hardly the place to strike a conversation up with that dude who is camping corners with a shotgun ,but looks oh so fabulous, as to where he got that armor/gun. The players shouldnt be forced to use a 'for show' and 'for use' set kind of system, especially with our limited on character inventory and menu load times. I know this is a ramble on post, but people NEED to keep the backlash on this consistent, lest it kill the game. Because who wants to spend months getting something, only for it to be useless the week after?
